Have you ever had week’s where there is a mix of so many great things and some really crazy stuff? well that was mine! I had a great day on Sunday playing with Fabric. I had 2 Quilting Days at my Guild. On Wednesday this happened:

With all of the evacuation alerts and orders I’ve been busy helping friends pack workshops and studios and get their prized possessions on to storage. We’ve had internet issues with the tower equipment being damaged so I’m not on line much, and have again fallen behind with emails and visiting everyone. I’ll try to get caught up once everyone is squared away 🤗
My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow. Managed a bit of progress 🤓
2. Try to finish binding the four now five quilts. Almost finished one quilt 😉
3. Finish the memory quilts for my son and granddaughters from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters. I’ve made some progress 🤪

4. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty. With those sweet little plus signs teasing me and two days at the Guild, I not only finished the flimsy, I made a flanged binding, picked out the backing and pieced a strip of the few leftover bits to insert in the backing 😁

5. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿. Sam and I are having too much fun with the Tula Pink scraps. This one might be a finish soon! 😁

This Week’s goals:
Now it’s time for my new To Do Tuesday List:

1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow.
2. Try to finish binding the four now five quilts. 😉
3. Finish the memory quilts for my son, granddaughters and Clarke’s family from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing.
4. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty.

5. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. I wasn’t really off to a good start, but it is getting better as things settle down in my real life time and commitments lessen. 🤔
- January 21/31
- February 27/29
- March 27/31
- April 20/30
- May 26/31
- June 22/30
- July 20/20
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total 156/195
- Total: 163/202
- Percentage = 80.69 %
I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan a trip to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 😁
- Fabric Used: 2 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 65 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 0 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 63 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash, but I have reduced my stash these past few years and only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. If I do purchase fabric I add it to my Balance in stash to use this year in order to continue reducing my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.
I’m including some photos of my project bins filled some of the fun little blocks, bits and pieces and fabric that Denise sent to me, and my orphan blocks and fabric from my stash, that I’m working playing with to come up with some new quilts for an upcoming charity event;

Thank you Kate. So far we are still home, but another town has been evacuated. I’m trying concentrate on helping friends clear out studios and workshops and indulge in fabric therapy. 🤗
