This week is always extra special for me. I get to celebrate the birthdays of 3 special Valentine’s Babes:
My granddaughter, Miss D is 14!My Grandson Mr F is 5! He is a sibling to Miss DMy great grandson, Mr L is 4!
It is so marvellous to share my day with my DH, even though to him it’s just another day. 😉
I celebrated for all of us and made a German Chocolate cake with Ganache frosting. Would it be bad to admit that the whole cake is gone (and I only had one piece!). My DH does enjoy his sweets 😉
I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

It does make the week extra special Kathleen. Good to know my DH isn’t strange. He’s not big on buying “stuff” to celebrate. Instead being together and having a special desert does matter to him. 🥰

I had to laugh at your DH’s attitude towards the ❤️ day! My husband is the same. He figures it’s just a money grab and refuses to buy anything on the 14th. Unless he needs some nails or screws or something! But, I just appreciate him being around!

Hi Gail. Isn’t it funny that so many quilter’s husbands are like that. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they often gift us “just because” 😉
Well, happy Valentine Birthday to your grands and great grand! They share it with me! We don’t do anything special for V Day anymore either. He did make me a nice steak and baked potato dinner though! One of my sewing buddies made me cupcakes which we shared while sewing then brought the rest home for dessert!
