Once again the last couple of weeks had me not meeting my goals, but it has been a crazy, interesting couple of weeks. Two weeks ago Monday I had a Board Meeting for the Golf Course. Tuesday was a town trip for DH’s meds. Wednesday I had the experience of working a Referendum Voting Poll for the approval of financing for a new Fire Truck. We had the station set up in the local Fire Hall (with no functioning heat🥶). I was there from 7:30 am until 8:30 pm. My poor staff were bundled in blankets and I put a quilt over their table with a space heater underneath to try to keep their feet warm. On Thursday I had to get DH in to town by 9:00 to keep our appointments for Flu and Covid vaccines. Then you guessed it! Between the vaccines and being chilled I wound up in bed all day Friday and over the weekend found myself napping quite often. 😴

The good news is that I did manage to sew on three of the days and have been making some progress. My WIP that was a commission last year and came back to get more length added on has it’s binding attached and I will try to get it hand stitched down on our referendum day (Saturday, December 1) and I can admit to looking forward to being able to snuggle with a lap full of quilt to keep me warm. There is a possibility of the heat having been fixed, but I’m not taking chances. 😉

Last week had me not feeling up to snuff and I ended it on Saturday at the fire Hall again for the final voting day. Again we had no real heat but it was a bit better. The good news is that winter has finally arrived here in my part of the world and I can once again enjoy my winter wonderland just as December begins. 😁
Now it’s time to see how I did with my list:
My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and leader/ender projects as time and my foot/ankle allow. No progress 😢
2. Keep working on my Dresden blocks now that I have a plan. No Progress 😢
3. Get caught up with the Rainbow Neighbourhood QAL hosted by Sandra Walker from MMM Quilts. I’d love to get this one done. No progress 😢

4. Allow myself to keep playing on a couple of projects from the boxes of treasures I received from Denise as my leader/ender projects. No progress 😢
5. Start planning projects for two upcoming blog hops:Start planning projects for two upcoming blog hops: We have some progress! 😁

6. Finish my pattern test! Done and ready to share tomorrow!

7. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me. I’ll keep this list minimal until I get organized and caught up.🐿🐿🐿🐿

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year, but life had other plans for me.. If I’m lucky I might get my percentage up to 50% for the year!
- January 31/31
- February 28/28
- March 31/31
- April 23/30
- May 24/27
- June 13/24
- November 15/30
- December 0/31
- this week 3/7
- Previous Total 154/330
- Total: 157/337
- Percentage = 46.67 %
If I try hard I might actually get back up to 50% this year! 😳

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash.
- Fabric Used: 4 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 26 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 3 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 22 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash, but I have reduced my stash these past few years and really only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. If I do purchase fabric I add it to my Balance in stash to use this year in order to continue reducing my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

Thanks Gail. I’m hoping this cold will go away soon since I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired 😉. Luckily with the snow falling I will have an excuse to not leave home for a few more days.

No heat and then vaccines…no wonder you had a day or two on the mend. I hope it is over and you can get back to what you want to do. You deserve some sewing time after the golf course took away so much of your time this year!

Hi Kathleen. Thank you and I am definitely on the mend. I’m busy getting things organized for the golf course meeting tomorrow and then I get to spend some time playing with fabric! Today is going to be a good day in my winter wonderland. 🤗
