I was so excited that for the first time in months I have something to share and a rest To-Do Tuesday post to link up.
My week went well with some sewing time and winter prep being done since we did have our first snow fall of the year!
Had the AGM for the golf course today and I had planned that after the meeting I would get some photos to share.
Well, you know how it goes; “the best laid plans” and Murphy’s Law had other plans! I was making several trips up and down the stairs to take things home and put them away after the meeting. You know the stairs? The ones I’ve been going up and 10-15 times a day since June! Well today I put my foot down on a stair and somehow I tripped/slipped.
I never did get to take my photos because my left hand is bruised (already) and my right foot/ankle is swollen and bruised;

So Instead I am going to share my last To Do List from June and tell you how far I’ve gotten with my goals:
My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and leader/ender projects. Not much progress on this one 😢
2. Keep working on my Dresden blocks. No Ptogress 😢
3. Get caught up with the Rainbow Neighbourhood QAL hosted by Sandra Walker from MMM Quilts. No Progress 😢

4. Allow myself to keep playing on a couple of projects from the boxes of treasures I received from Denise as my leader/ender projects. No Progress 😢
5. Work on my project for the July Sew It – Show It Challenge, Picnic Party, hosted by Carol from Just Let Me Quilt. Finished and posted Here

6. Start planning a project for the next Sew It – Show It Challenge, It’s a Dog’s Life. Finished and posted Here

7. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me. 🐿🐿🐿🐿
Fingers crossed that some fabric therapy is on my agenda!
Studio To – Do List
1. When I get back to the studio make quilting my Roll of the Dice quilt the priority and get the binding put on. No progress 😢
2. Finish my second Heading North quilt, designed by Sandra of MMM Quilts which I left at the studio. No progress 😢
3. Work on the last binding that needs to be hand stitched when I get back to the studio. No progress 😢

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash.
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 40 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 3 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 40 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash, but I have reduced my stash these past few years and really only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. If I do purchase fabric I add it to my Balance in stash to use this year in order to continue reducing my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!

Hi Karin. It’s not fun, but what a good excuse to finally sit and catch up on posts, blogs and emails 😉

Sorry to hear about the tumble down the stairs, Carol. Do take care – I hope it’s not broken!

Thanks Wendy. I can put my full weight on it, so I doubt it’s broken but I’ll get it checked out when I go to town today 😉

Murphy’s Law has a nasty habit of hitting just when you think you’ve got a handle on things. Hopefully there is no break, but even so sprains take a long time to heal. Looking forward to seeing some progress in the sewing room soon.

Hi Karin,
So sorry to hear about your trip down the stairs. It looks like you’ve been very productive in spite of hurting your foot. I hope your ankle is up to par soon and you’re back on top of everything. It sounds like you have a killer “to do” list.

Hi Laurie. It’s been an interesting year so the trip down the stairs just topped it off. I’m feeling better than I was. Thank you 😁

Murphy’s law is NOT a friend! I hope you are feeling better now. This year has not been kind with having to step in at the golf course and not being able to enjoy stitching. Take good care of yourself!
