To-Do Tuesday #41

Belated Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian quilters and welcome to this week’s linky party.

Last week 13 people joined our party. I’m hoping you all got to visit each other and provide encouragement on each others progress on your lists.

My holiday weekend was filled with people, music and long hours, but the fundraiser was a great success. 😉

This was the scene at noon before the fun began when the band was setting up! I didn’t have time after that to take any photos 😉

At 10:45 last night I got to do this;

This morning We were rewarded with a rainbow over the course and the beauty of the Tamarack trees (or Larch as they call them here) turning a beautiful gold colour.

Now it’s time to join our party and encourage your friends to jump in too!

  • This linky party is for any project – It can be in-progress or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features one of your projects.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. There will be a linky party available every week!

Buy Me a Coffee at ko-fi.com

Published by Carol Andrews

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Hi Carol! You have put in a lot of time and effort on your fundraiser. I’m so happy to hear that it was a big success. That’s wonderful! Thank you for this week’s linky party. I hope you will get to have some “me” time now. {{Hugs}} a bunch! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Thank you Roseanne. It’s always great when an event is a success. By the end of next week everything including my last catering event will be done (and all of the recycling and garbage hauled to the dump). Then it will be “me time”…….quilting, a visit to D and maybe even a visit to my daughter, grands and greats for a day or two 😁

  2. I have a larch in my post too! My neighbor has one in the yard and when it turned all golden this fall, it made me homesick for Michigan! Thanks for hosting a great linky party!

    1. Thank you Deb. I still call Larches Tamarack. That’s what the arborist in Alberta called the one in my yard there so when I moved to BC and everyone talked about Larches I was so confused! I think it’s my favourite sight of the year, but then the Maples are pretty spectacular here, too! 😉

  3. Glad to hear that the fundraiser was a huge success!
And what a relief to put it to bed for the winter! That will give you more time to sew!!! LOL!!!

I didn’t know that Larch was the same as Tamarack, I’ve always known them as Tamarack!
    Beautiful rainbow!

    1. Thanks Gail. I should be finished cleaning, packing up, hauling the recycling and garbage by the end of next week. Then it’s time to sew, visit D and my longarm and even sneak away to Alberta to visit my daughter, grands and great grands for a day! 😁

  4. You have done such a great job with the club, and yay on the success of the fundraiser! Looks like your hard work paid off, and hopefully soon you’ll get to do all those things you’ve been looking forward to doing. Have a great rest of the week Carol!
