To-Do Tuesday #30

Hello and welcome to this week’s party. Sorry for being a bit later than usual. 😳

I do have a reason for being late beside my usual being busy with the Golf Club:

Life just keeps on going! 😢

A deer decided she needed to redesign the front end on the passenger side of my car! The good news is that I only have a stiff/sore back and neck. The bad news is the soonest it will get in to a body shop is the end of August. The manager of the shop estimates that I will get it back near my birthday; October 15, and the estimate? Between $8,000.00 – $10,000.00. Totally insane, right?

Other than that my week had gone well with being able to spend a day at my Guild, unpicking a binding from a quilt that needs to be made longer. It was the job that used the energy I could spare, but it was so nice to sit and visit with my friends. 😁

We had 19 people join our party last week and I will even have some time this week to try to visit everyone I have missed these past few weeks 🤞🏻I can’t wait since I have been admiring all of the pretty header photos! 😉

So now it’s your turn to share what fun you have been up to:

  • This linky party is for any project – It can be in-progress or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features one of your projects.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. There will be a linky party available every week!
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following or commenting on my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!
  • You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. So glad you are OK Carol! Ummm how did the deer fare? Did I see you might have some “time” this week? 🙂 I just showed your meme to my (cranky from little sleep) husband and he laughed! So thank you. 😉 Hope you have a wonderful week my friend.

    1. Hi Linda. The deer ran away so I think it was fine. Yes I did have a day off last week and will have more again this week since I had arranged a trip to see my kids, grands and greats for a day, but the deer changed those plans. 😢

  2. Yikes! One of my worst nightmares. Is hitting a deer or having a deer hit me. Sometimes it seems they just run into you! Hope you’re feeling better everyday. But, oh my on the repair costs. Holy Moly!

    1. That’s about what I said Carolyn but the fender, front quarter panel and grill plate all need to be replaced. Add to that the supply chain issues and the Covid bump in prices/inflation and that’s what they came up with. 😢

    1. Thanks Gail. You are so right a hug is exactly what I needed. I had just worked things out to travel to Alberta; one day there, one day to visit and a day to travel home. The family that live in Mexico are there and I haven’t seen those grands in five years. The deer definitely derailed that plan 😢

  3. I’m so glad you are OK, Carol! That’s so scary. We have a lot of deer in our wooded neighborhood and all over actually. Fortunately, so far this year, we haven’t seen any hit in our neighborhood. Getting repairs done for cars, or anything is ridiculous right now. I’m glad you got to spend some time with your quilty friends. Sending hugs.
