Hello and welcome to our link up party. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend filled with family, fabric fun, great weather and of course, good food!
Last week we had 26 bloggers link up with our party. I had a terrible week of off and on internet service (the joys of living in rural British Columbia) so only managed to finish visiting everyone tonight.

I really enjoyed seeing everyone’s posts and the very inspiring photos of project progress, lovely gardens, studio organizing and renovations.
My week was filled with lots of sewing time, reorganizing my sewing corner and making use of enjoying my new cutting table. It also works with my Prairie Spirit Alpaca cutting mat on the right side if I’m doing a lot of pressing on blocks and units for blocks. It’s the perfect height for me to stand at.

Now it’s your turn to share the updates and projects you are working on.
- This linky party is for any project – It can be in-progress or a finished piece.
- You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features one of your projects.
- If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. There will be a linky party available every week!
- This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
- Following or commenting on my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!
Thank you for stopping by to link up, visit and check out all of the bloggers who are sharing their WIPs, PIGS and completed projects.
😁 Carol

Your sewing corner looks like a lovely spot, and I love the minis you have on the wall! Have a great week, Carol!

It’s so nice to have the right set up to stitch with. Makes a huge difference in the aches and pains at the end of a long stitching day!

Hi Kate. I’ve worked 5 years to get it set up right. The 4’ square is now 5’ square space and it seems “right”. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I thought you’d understand 😉

If only quilting made me thin! Or the remodel at my daughter’s house! That really should be counted as exercise!

Thank you Sharon. I think my happy place is finally just right for me. It’s only taken 5 years to figure it out! 😉

Hi Sharon. I think the remodel does qualify as excercise, at least any Reno’s I’ve done sure have and you are hanging drywall for heavens sake. 😁

Such pretty features! That quilting is amazing and I loved Melva’s idea! It’s so important to have a cutting table at our height! Congratulations!
It’s so true – when my heart is burdened cloth and needle are so therapeutic!
Your I love quilting project is awesome! One day, I’ll pick up the Accuquilt alphabet dies….
Thank you for hosting!

Thank you Mia. You said it right; needle and thread do help to lighten a heavy heart. Those Accuquilt dies were a great deal, but I confess it’s the first time I’m using them. I’ve avoided Applique for so many years (not sure why, since I’m enjoying it now). 🤗

I’m so happy for you with your reorganized space and new table! I bet you love your pressing mat – I sure love mine, which shares space on my cutting table. It would be nice to have a looooooong table so I wouldn’t have to juggle space, but that would be boring, right? LOL!

Hi Linda. The table is 5’ long and I can have both cutting mats on it for those long cuts of fabric and still have space for my pressing mat! I feel so spoiled now! 😉

It’s going to take a long time before I get back into my sewing/craft room. First moving a lot of my mom’s stuff into the room when we moved her to the nursing home…..and now moving a lot of my daughter’s stuff in there until we have time to sort it later.
