Happy Mail Day!

This morning I headed to my Guild to get our last organizing day before our annual fundraiser done. After several hours of sorting yarn and notions, measuring fabric and pricing the lot, we hauled everything out to the shed. The shed is now completely full! We couldn’t fit another shoebox in it!

What fun everyone will have on April 30th when we get everything out and it all begins. I’ll try to remember to get photos.

I got home and discovered I needed to make a trip to town for one of DH’s prescriptions.

On the way home, I stopped to pick up the mail and found a lovely package from Quilting Gail. A while back I had entered a giveaway on her blog when Gail had made her incredible puffy quilt using the Fruit and Veggies line. Gail let me know I had won. Now you all know Gail is an Island Batik Ambassador so you can guess what I was expecting;

I had won over a yard of the leftovers from IB Fruit and Veggies line and have a plan for it already! My apologies for the poor lighting photos. It really doesn’t show the depth and vibrancy of the colours. 🤔

Gail had posted back in January one of her cute finishes and I had commented I did love the pattern. It (along with some other goodies and a very sweet note we’re in the parcel;

I can not thank Gail enough for a lift to my spirits. I really needed one this week and it surely did arrive! 🤗

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
