To – Do Tuesday Linky Party #14

Quilt Schmilt

Hello and welcome to the To Do Tuesday link party!

Thank you to all 25 quilters who joined our party last week. I had so much fun visiting to see everyone’s progress. I really enjoyed each and every post. Did you have a chance to visit everyone?

I’m apologizing since some people are having issues linking up. If you can’t link up either email me the URL of your post or leave me a comment with it. I can do it for you. 🤔

It was another busy week. Our vacation is cancelled because DH isn’t up to travelling right now. 😢. I did sneak away to the studio to help D. with some chores and managed a bit of a visit with my favourite DSM. 😁

Here’s a sneak peek at what I’m working on at the studio:

I might be late responding to comments since I will be driving home on Tuesday and taking DH for his physio. I can’t wait to see what everyone else is doing since I didn’t have many photos I could share this week. I can say that my Dresdens have come out to play. 😉

Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any project – It can be in-progress or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features one of your projects.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. There will be a linky party available every week!
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following or commenting on my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

It is now your turn to share what you are working on or have finished. Do let us know how your week went. 😉

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

    1. Hi Linda. Only had one full day at the studio. Helped D with some chores and spent some time with my favourite sewing machine! D is doing okay considering it’s 6 months now and their wedding anniversary is in a couple of weeks. She is keeping up with taking care of things and eating properly; just not interested in going out much. Thank you for asking. 🤗

  1. I am also sorry your vacation was canceled. Hope DH is feeling better. Dresden plate! Nice! Funny thing, I was down to just 13″ of thread left on my bobbin after sewing together the Trip Around the World blocks!

    1. Thank you Sharon. He managed to playa bit of golf today so he is happy. I just got home from the studio. It’s DH’s physio today so I’ll try to catch a nap before we head to town. I do like this Dresden. 13” of thread left? Now that’s what I call winning at Bobbin Chicken.

  2. Your Dresden block is so pretty! Are you making a whole quilt of those? Glad you got to the studio and got to play, but also sorry to hear that you had to cancel your vacation. Golf is my husband’s favorite pastime, too – it makes him happy just to plan ahead for the next game!

    1. Hi Diann. Yes the Dresdens are for a whole quilt. A day at the studio should be the recharge I needed. Even though there’s still snow on parts of the course hubby got to whack some balls today. He says he might go out again this morning but he has physio at noon so I’m not sure it’s a good idea.

  3. Sorry you had to cancel your vacation. Hopefully, you can find a few things to do as a staycation. Those Dresden blocks are really pretty, I love that dark brown background.

    1. Hi Roseanne. I managed a whole day at the studio and was able to help D with some stuff. Didn’t have time with the longarm, but I did play with my favourite sewing machine. The trip might happen next fall if DH is doing any better. 😉

  6. Hope your drive home is safe and uneventful! Glad you got some time to sew, and sorry about the vacation being cancelled; that sucks. I can’t access the linky party either. It says “a requested resource could not be found”

    1. Hi Sandra. I got home at 5:30 this morning through a cold, snowy pass. It really was pretty! Please drop me a comment or email with your post URL and I’ll post it for you. I’m so sorry! Some can link up and some can’t. Grrrr to technology. 😳
