I Like Thursday

On Thursday a group of like minded bloggers get together on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color to share lists of things that bring them joy or they are grateful for.

One of the things I am most grateful for is our on line community. Through these past couple of difficult years, our community has supported each other and tried to keep moral and spirits high. Anyone reading my blog has known much of my life story, and sent messages and emails of support through it all. All I can say is Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

Through most of life’s ups and downs these past many years, I have quilted my way through the highs and lows. I’d like to share some of my favourite finishes of the last few years:

To me January is always a time for organizing, filling out calendars and making lists and it’s one of the things I love most about a new year beginning. 😃

I’ve found my on line calendar is the most used since it is so convenient. I can access it from my phone, IPad or computer and even print the pages if I need it. I also have a couple of paper calendars from our local bank. One of them has all of my Guild meetings, events and classes and any meetings for the Golf Course Board listed. That way my DH can always know what’s on my agenda.

I try to start the year with a new list of my UFOs and WIPs. Quilting Gail created the perfect tracker and challenge to help with keeping my projects organized. It sure works for me:

My other option is the Notes app on my phone. That way if I have to go to town unexpectedly I know what I’m getting short of.

With my crazy life I need lists and calendars to keep me organized. I really love the convenience of having everything close to hand on my phone.

My biggest source of gratitude and love is my family.

My great granddaughter Grace just turned 3! 🎂 How wonderful is that?

Thanks for stopping by and sharing some of your time with me.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

    1. Hi Kathleen. Thank you for your sweet comment. This community IS amazing, isn’t it? You are so right about our little Grace not being so little! She’s almost as tall as her 5 year old (almost 6) stepbrother. 🤗

  1. Loved looking at all your favourite quilts from the past few years! And the pictures of your grands are darling!
I’m glad to consider you an on-line friend … and one of these days, I’m hoping we will meet in person!!!
    Happy Quilting! 🙂
