October OMG

October is normally a quiet month here at home. The golf course is usually closed and we often have snow on the ground before month end. So far this month the weather has been glorious and golfers abound on the course.

I’m going to be a bit busier than usual, with helping D, attending K’s Memorial Service and working 3 – 12 + hour days for our Municipal Elections.

I’m also planning on cutting some fabrics for a project I’ve had on the ToDo List for a long time if I can get it drawn up in EQ8 and I’d like to get a couple of tops quilted to work toward my PHD 2022.

I’m hoping you are all safe after the horrific weather we have had in various locations around the world and that you get to spend some quality time with your fabric and machines. 😁 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. I’m so sorry about your dear friend’s passing. How is D doing?
Hard to believe you will have snow on the ground this month – we would settle for just a few drops of rain here! Weather is never a fan of equality, is it? 😀
Good luck with your October plans.

    1. Thank you Linda. It was a blessing to be there for both of them, to know he is no longer in pain and that everything is organized. It’s hard to think of snow when I’m still wearing shorts or sundresses, but there normally is snow on the ground for Hallowe’en. Hard to say what it will be like this year. Sure hope you get a bit (stress a bit) of rain soon. 😉

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about K, but I’m sure D is so thankful to have you there to help out. I’ve missed a few of your posts, I think! Your Queen of Gadgets quilt was a cute one, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you are cooking up for the Gremlin Hop!

    1. Gail it’s good to read you have been away, enjoying this incredible gift of warm fall weather. It was hard to say goodbye to K, but comforting to know he is no longer in pain or fighting to breathe. D and I are both doing OK and keeping busy so we can adjust to life without K slowly and in time
