Weekly Goals and To-Do Tuesday #107

I’ll be linking up with To-Do Tuesday which is being hosted by Linda from Texas Quilt Gal and making sure I go see what everyone else is planning for the upcoming week.

It’s been another week of travelling back and forth between the studio and home. Lots of miles, a bit of machine time and some time working on binding a quilt and plenty of prep time in the kitchen. I just got back to the studio again. K was hospitalized so D needed some support. 🤔

Last To-Do list:

1. Keep working on my hand quilting and EPP projects. No progress

2. Keep working on my pattern test since everything is cut now. No progress 😢

3. When I get back to the studio, I need to finish the commission and A Roll of the Dice. I’m on the home stretch with hand stitching the binding on the commission quilt, but have not managed and work on A Roll of the Dice.

4. Keep working on my next Blog Hop projects. Some progress. 😉

5. Keep Samantha and her squirrel friends from sidetracking me this week. 😳🐿🐿

This week’s goals:

1. Keep working on my hand quilting and EPP projects.

2. Keep working on my pattern test since everything is cut now.

3. When I can get back to the studio, if time allows, I need to finish my A Roll of the Dice quilt.

4. Keep working on my next Blog Hop projects, everything is planned, fabrics are cut and piecing has begun. 😄

5. Do not allow Samantha to sidetrack me this week. 😳🐿🐿

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.

The way this year has gone, I’m just happy to get any sewing time in. 🤔

I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year, but also want to at least spend 30 minutes a week tidying up and dealing with scraps.

  • January 31/31
  • February 28/28
  • March 26/31
  • April 6/30
  • May 13/31
  • June 25/30
  • July 16/23
  • this week 4/7
  • Previous Total 142/197
  • Total: 146/204
  • Percentage = 72.08 %

Stash Report:

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash.

  • Fabric previous balance: 67.5 Yards
  • Fabric Used: 0 yards
  • Fabric Bought: 0 yards
  • Balance in stash to use this year: 67.5 Yards

* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash so it just seems to be reasonable to set a goal to continue working from my stash.

* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash

Quilting Gail is hosting her PHD in 2022 Challenge again this year. 😄
I’ll try to get my tracker updated this week. 😳

I do enjoy sharing some of your time when you read my posts and reply to each comment. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. You have really been busy going back and forth lately – I can see how that slows down your progress, but you are still moving forward! I envision Samantha sitting in a corner, pouting, stamping her little squirrely foot. 🙂

  2. I am laughing at Wendy’s comment! If only you could figure a way to sleep while you’re driving – get some kind of automated vehicle. 😉 I like your goal of tidying up and dealing with scraps. I have the “tidying up” part done but I only deal with scraps once a year or so – I really need to use them up!
Thank you for joining us at To Do Tuesday!

    1. Hi Linda. Oooh! I like the idea of an automated vehicle, but have never been able to sleep in a moving vehicle so I guess I’ll just keep driving since I do enjoy it. Just wish I could take photos while I’m driving. I laughed with Wendy’s comment, too. Seems to be confession time for me; I’ve tidied up but not dealt with my scraps since Grace died. Maybe this month? 😉

  3. Hi Carol! What a good friend you are. It’s so nice of you to be able to support D while K is in the hospital. I’ll keep doing my part and push them to the top of the prayer list. {{Hugs}} a bunch for you. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. I hope you have great progress on your list. Just remember that slow progress is better than none. Baby steps forward are sometimes all we can manage. Blessings & hugs
