Sandra Walker from MMM Quilts has a fun new pattern being introduced this week and anyone who knows me, knows that I love Sandra’s patterns!

This is a great pattern and includes 3 projects; a Baby Quilt, a Bed Runner and a Pillow.
A few of us were given the privilege of making projects from this pattern which is full of Sandra’s usual tips and suggestions for tutorials. This is an official DrEAMi project for me this month because I put everything else aside to enjoy making this sweet flimsy.
I chose to make a baby quilt since I had been asked by my granddaughter to make a quilt for one of her friends.

Cutting and piecing went very well, thanks to Sandra’s well written pattern and before I knew it I had a finished flimsy. 😁
I finished the quilt top and went hunting to find a perfect backing.

I was at the studio and finished another quilt and got this sweet little quilt on the frame. Then disaster struck and my Avante started being temperamental. I finally had to give up and call my favourite tech to tell him what was going on. He said my machine needed a spa trip so I wasn’t able to get it quilted.

Now it is set aside with backing and binding for the parts to come in for my longarm and then a trip to the studio.
This pattern was also used by some other quilters to make different projects:
Wednesday June 8 – Cushion, aka pillow cover:
Helen @helenmidgetgem
Rose at SomethingRoseMade
Thursday June 9 – Bed Runner:
Michelle @peetmichelle
Sue @susangodfrey600
Friday June 10 – Baby Quilt
Anja at Anja Quilts
Carol at Quilt Schmilt
Marty @_suryasmiles
Tish at The Madd Quilter (yes! She’s BACK!)
You really should go take a peek at everyone’s interpretation of Sandra’s pattern. The fabric choices sure made me smile and want to make more of the projects in this pattern.
I’d like to thank Sandra of MMM Quilts for letting me be part of the group that were able to play with her pattern in advance of it being released.
Here is the direct link to the pattern for your convenience and I happen to know it’s on sale this week 😉
Again here is a photo of this fun new pattern with a direct link embedded to the pattern, which I can admit to wanting to make more of the projects. I’m thinking a bed runner and some cushions just might be on my wish list. 😉
Thank you for spending some time with me. 😄 Carol
That’s a very nice quilt, and the backing is perfect! Looks like a fun pattern!

Carol your quilt is just beautiful, so calm and tranquil in those gorgeous batiks. The backing is perfect, as Wendy says. Darn, it’s too bad your Avanté decided it was time for a spa trip. Thank you so much for playing with my new design and for saying such kind things about it!

Hi Sandra. Isn’t it just the way life goes; machines break down when you need them most 🤔 I enjoyed this pattern as much as I’ve enjoyed all of your designs. There’s just something about stars that makes me happy. 😄

Hi Carol! Great job on the baby quilt. I love the fabrics you chose and that backing is just perfect!! I’ve already purchased the pattern after seeing Rose’s project. I absolutely NEED to make something right.this.minute. Work is interrupting my creativeness. HAHA! {{Hugs}} a bunch. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. Isn’t this pattern just the best! When I saw it it became my Drop Everything and Make it. Just think the busyness of work should settle down for you soon and then you will want to play with fabric more 😉
