I Like Thursday #65

Each week I try to link up with LeeAnna of Not Afraid of Color for our weekly I Like Thursday posts. Taking the time to find things that I am grateful for, the things that spark joy, provide inspiration or provoke a chuckle can always make me realize how great life is.

As I’m writing this I am happy and grateful to a wonderful group of women and having good enough internet to be able to spend a couple of hours visiting with members of my Guild via Zoom. It was fun to see unmasked faces, pandemic hairdos and all of the wonderful projects everyone shared and are working on. In case you didn’t know, here in B.C. we are still in very tight restrictions, but our Omicron numbers are starting to slow down. Since meetings are not allowed we are back on line.

I’m very grateful to have enough of a fabric stash to keep me busy with new projects; both hand and machine sewing. I’ve not done much handwork for a number of years, but found that in the winter I really enjoy knitting and this year I started hand sewing hexies and other shapes for two different EPP pieces. I’d never done EPP before so it is fun making the shapes and getting ready to start putting the shapes together.

I’ve also pulled fabrics to start a new pattern test. I’m so very proud and grateful to have the opportunity to do some testing for several different designers.

My lighting is terrible and the colours aren’t true, but I think this will be a happy coloured test. 😉

While we were on Zoom, one of my friends shared an article she saw on Facebook with some really amazing miniature creations;

Thank you for spending some of your time with me today. I do hope you have a wonderful Thursday and your week has been filled with fun, laughter and many things that make you happy. Do pop over to Not Afraid of Color to see what happy things our friends are sharing today. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Hi again, Carol! Zoom meeting isn’t as fun as in-person but it is better than no meeting. I’m going to check out those miniatures right now. {{Hugs}} a bunch especially for you. ~smile~ Roseanne
