It’s that time again: time to set a goal for the month of November and link up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts.
My goal for this month is to continue using my orphan blocks and leftover bits to make gifts to donate to the local organization for inclusion in their Christmas hampers.
I’ve settled on making a few lap quilts, Covered journals, mug rugs, coaster sets and some zippered bags. In total I would like to be able to donate 30-35 items this year as the need for hampers has doubled since the Pandemic began. The organization used to have a Christmas dinner where the kids could go in the back room with volunteers and pick out and wrap gifts for their parents. Since the dinner is not being held the goal is to provide The ingredients for a Christmas dinner for each household, whether it be families or seniors who live on their own. So my Guild Members are trying to make items (sewn, knit or crochet) to have a little gift for every member of each household.
Here’s the start of my little pile of donations:
Other than that my other goal is to get to the studio and try to get a few more quilts finished on my longarm. There are only 2 tubs of quilt tops to get done to clear off my UFO list of To Be Quilted items (no I still haven’t properly counted the tops in those bins). 😳
Thank you for stopping by to read my post. 🎃 Carol

I’m looking forward to seeing your projects. It’s a shame they aren’t having the dinners anymore! I hope their hampers overflow this year.

Thank you Linda. My Guild members are all having fun picking out projects. The knitters are knitting, crochet ears are crocheting, basket weavers are weaving, etc. It going to be fun to see what all gets made. 🤶🏻
