I’m joining a group of friends who get together via a linky party on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color most weeks to share list of things that bring them joy, inspire them or make them laugh.
As seems to be the story of my life I’m late to the party to share my happy list.
My last 3 days have been spent doing Election Training in. Cute little town just north of where I live. I really enjoy the hours drive to and from New Denver when it’s fall and pretty!

The town, New Denver, is historically important to the area, having a history founded in mining and the site of an Internment Camp for Japanese immigrants during the war. It has resulted in a population with so many ethnic backgrounds that it’s always fun to walk in to businesses and restaurants. You never know what you’ll find 😉
Yes that is the first snowfall on the mountain ridges. I love seeing the snow, knowing that fall is here early.
I love getting surprise boxes from friends. Just look at the goodies that were dropped off for me while I was in class:

As usual I get to share some new great granddaughter photos since you all know how much I love these two sweet sisters:
I hope you all are enjoying a day as nice as mine!

Thank you for stopping in to read my post. I appreciate it when you click on the follow button and enjoy responding to your comments. 😉 Carol
Very cute sisters. I don’t know why but seeing photos of little ones always puts a smile on my face. Thanks!

What a pretty drive, and New Denver sounds like a fun place to explore. Of course, the littles steal the show with those cute grins!

Hi Wendy. They are cuties I think. New Denver has a beautiful Japanese Garden and several museums and fun little shops, including one of my favourite LQS!

Hi Carol! Oh, those little sweethearts. I adore the picture Grace looking at Clarke. Your drive look beautiful . . . and snow on the mountain top is a wee bit early. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. I too enjoy seeing the photos of the girls together and seeing the interaction between them. Yes the snow is about two weeks early. Apparently we might be having an early, long winter which will help the fire situation so I’m good with that. I think I’ll just hunker down and sew 😉

What a lovely post. I love the blue sky and the mountains….hard to believe in the first snow but I know it comes early to the mountains. The kiddos are adorable, and I imagine the kitten is getting lots of love!

Hi Kathleen. The snow is 2-3 weeks early this year, but I’m not complaining after our fire season. I’m just going to hunker down and spend some quality time with fabric. 😉

Oh that pic with the oldest grand and the kitten is precious. I love your photos of the mountains, helps the heart of a girl living in the flat lands but with the heart of a mountain girl.

Hi Colette. I’m partial to that photo of Clarke, too. She’s such an interesting child to watch grow, much like her Daddy, my grandson was. I’m so glad you enjoy my mountains. I missed them when I lived on the prairies.

Hi Frederique. The visit with the girls is only from photos and video calls but my grandson’s partner sends me photos every week so I am the luckiest great grandmother! 😉
