I love Thursday #40

There are a group of friends who share lists of things that make them happy over on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color.

I missed posting last week due to having the worst migraine of my life for several days due to the wild swings in weather (sunny to snow to sunny to rain and back and forth) and barometric pressure fluctuations.

I love being able to say that I’m feeling fine today and back to normal.

I’ve been enjoying playing a wee bit with scraps and strings and a secret sewing project. How fun is it to see piles of pretty fabric pieces just waiting to be made in to something?

I love sharing pictures of my youngest great granddaughters. They always make me smile or laugh out loud. This is Easter and Spring rolled in to one post of Clarke and Grace:

My post is short this week as I really didn’t have a lot going on. I slept a lot and listened to several audiobooks (nothing noteworthy) and really enjoyed hearing a voice telling a story.

I’m happy to share the news that I get my first shot in the arm next week. It does seem as if it has taken forever for it to be my turn. I’m curious to find out how long it will be before we get our second shot. The guesstimate keeps changing from what I am hearing.

It seems as if the Covid brain fog issue has now turned to a sense of shutting down. So many friends are admitting to a lack of creativity. I like that we can share these feelings and admit that it’s okay to just shut down for a while.

For now, I’ll end on that note.

Thank you for stopping by to read my post. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Glad you’re feeling better. What a kick in the pants! I find my sewing fluctuates. This week I’m cleaning/organizing which is a never ending task. The scraps you’re working with look like fun. Enjoy the break – you’ll be back to it in full force soon I’m sure. Oh – your grands – totally precious!

  2. Hi Carol! So glad to hear the migraine is behind you for now. Thank you for sharing that meme. I find my interest in sewing has just waned without warning. While my list of things to-do stays the same or grows, my interest is just non-existent right now. Thankfully, no one else is really impacted whether I work on something or not so at least there is no pressure to complete projects beyond my own self pressure. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Hi Roseanne. It does seem as if motivation has disappeared from so many sewing spaces right now, not only for sewing but also writing blog posts. I’m glad I had the “break” while not feeling well but it is hard to get back in gear 😉
