Several friends post their links on LeeAnna’s blog, Not Afraid of Color where they share lists of things that they love or that bring them joy.
For me, the weather at this time of year makes me so very happy. We do still get snow or rainy days, but most days I can get out for a walk and just enjoy those beautiful blue skies. It’s impossible to feel blue when you can see this view:

I’ve been enjoying a bit of time in the kitchen lately and trying to experiment with soup or stir fried dinners for myself. My DH has a very nasty allergic reaction to onions and garlic and a very picky appetite so some days I’m cooking 2 diners. Mine is full of veggies and herbs and spices that don’t nauseate my poor DH. Luckily I’ve learned which smells can trigger his sensitive tummy.
Humour is as necessary to me as breathing. I love the fact that this is my coping mechanism that I’m relying on while we watch to see when the vaccines will be available to our demographics.

I like being able to spend so much time on the hobby which has become such an addiction. Finishing a pattern test always makes me smile. This week I have another test top finished but now it’s moved in to the bins of To Be Quilted Piles. 😒

With the addition of a new machine to my collection I have the ability to finish my quilts when DH is okay with me running away to my friend’s studio. I’ve now finished 2 quilts and think I like using a longarm.
Of course I can’t have an I Like post without sharing some of the cuteness of our Clarke and Grace. These two will definitely keep their parents on their toes.
Thank you for stopping by to enjoy the bits of my life that bring me so much joy.
Head over to LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color to check out the lists of friend’s that are sharing their happiness and inspiration today.

Nice post, Carol. We are changing up our eating patterns here too, with my daughter having tummy issues. She is gone this week, so I’ve been making recipes she can’t eat (like French Onion Soup). Those littles are just too cute!

Wendy French Onion soup is a favourite of mine! I miss having it. For years when I was out and about shopping I’d often stop for lunch and have French Onion Soup (or Onion Rings). Then brush my teeth before I got close to my DH. I miss those days. 🤤

Hi Carol! Oh my goodness. Clarke and Grace! They look SO dang adorable. Miss Clarke in her highchair, taking a drink like a big girl!! And your meme about TP is spot on true. Your meals look so yummy – fresh asparagus is so good. It’s not quite the season here but very soon – always by Easter. ~smile~ Roseanne

Roseanne they are cuties; just like your littles 😉 mmm asparagus is just the best at any time of year. We have a lovely neighbour with a greenhouse nearby that grows organic asparagus and often shares the abundance with me 😊

LOL. Toilet paper this year! I would love to play with a longarm. Those quilts look great.

Sally the longarm is fun (except for dealing with nested stitches). I wish you could come and play with mine 😉

Your food looks delicious! My SIL also has reactions to onions and garlic; it’s a hard allergy to have and work around. Love the meme about March 2021! Very funny–and true!
