Sunday Sewing

My Valentine’s Day was perfect. I managed to get chores done early and then had most of the day to play with fabric, write blog posts and just relax. The weather is starting to warm up and our forecast for the upcoming week is for snow almost every day which means more time with my machines. 😄

I made some progress on my Eagle Quilt for my friend in hospital. We did get some good news and he could be released in a week or so if he continues improving at the rate he is going.

This pattern is the Eagle by Cheryl Phillips of Phillips Fiber Art. I discovered Cheryl when I found her Tropical Twister Pattern a couple of years ago and have enjoyed playing with her wedge rulers. Cheryl was wonderful to work with and helped when I told her the background behind wanting to make this specific pattern.

I also managed to work a bit on the blocks for the quilt my granddaughter asked me to make for her best friend. Here’s the fabric pull for these blocks.

They should work for the next border on this quilt;

This is Waltzing with Bears, a pattern I tested for Sandra Walker of MMM Quilts. You can read about my test Here

Thank you for stopping by to read my post. 😃 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
