I Love Thursday #24

It’s been a week of fun and adventures here.

I had to go to town to pick up a prescription for DH on (gasp) but had ordered by phone and pulled in to get it delivered to the car. I had to wait a while since the pharmacy was backed up. I like having a few minutes to view the Black Friday flyers while I am parked outside the store. I arranged curbside delivery and the staff were great.I had to do it:

Our tv was fading so DH was gifted a new one. It only took me an hour to rearrange furniture and set the tv up. Seeing the happiness on DH’s face was sure worth the effort.

You can’t see it in the photo above but the screen had a vertical blue line through it. I phoned the store on Saturday but they were sold out of that tv. Then the young lady on the phone asked me to hold for a moment. When she came back on, she asked if I could wait until Wednesday. She had arranged for a transfer from another store! I do love good customer service!

Today I drove to Nelson to exchange the television. When I got in to the store the cashier at customer service gave me a $50.00 credit back because I had had to make an extra trip to town. Again I can on,y say I love good customer service!

Then I decided I needed to go to Castlegar to pick up a new tv stand. I had seen them on sale as well for a reasonable price. When I got to the store, the one I had wanted was sold out, but they had another one I liked better and it was on sale for less than the one I had wanted. You have to love it when things go your way.

I came home and spent 4 hours building the stand. Here it is minus the center shelves.

On Tuesday my post went live for the Virtual Cookie Exchange and Christmas Blog Hop. You can read about it here. Have you been following the bloggers on this hop? I have and have already gathered a few new recipes to try and seen a few projects that have the squirrels running around my sewing space!

As most of you know, I love doing pattern tests for several designers. One of those patterns is finally being published on Friday and I’m so looking to sharing to celebrate.

I will finally get to share this little beauty!

Last but not least I need to share another of my likes; the memes I get to collect. I like ending my I Love posts with one that I hope makes you smile.

As usual I will be linking with a group of friends over on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color. You really want to head over there to see what everyone is sharing in their I Like Thursday posts. You are guaranteed to see some treasures!

Thank you for stopping by! I always enjoy it when you visit. 😉 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Good morning, Carol! That is a cute meme – I miss being with my nutty friends surrounded by many, many bolts. HAHA! Nice job on the TV stand. I’ve been leaning towards getting a new TV for my bedroom. The one I have has a VHS and DVD player so you know how old it is. It still works fine, though, plus we have a place to watch the VHS tapes that we still have hanging around. I guess there’s no rush to replace it as long as it works! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Roseanne I discovered a VHS tape in a box the other day; Dickens Christmas Carol, and wondered why I had kept it since I don’t have a player anymore. Must have been the memories I was hoarding! 🥴now I’m off to set up the new tv for DH and finish putting the shelves in the stand. Have a great day!
