On Thursdays a group of friends link up on LeeAnna’s blog, Not Afraid of Color to share lists of things that bring them joy and happiness.
I love reading and listening to audiobooks and the fact that I was able to sign up for a new library card on line had me doing a happy dance since we are in lockdown mode. I’m making lists of books when any of my blogger friends post recommendations and already have 4 books on the reserve list.
With being back in lockdown, concerns over friends and family that are waiting for Covid test results and saying goodbye to our fur baby, this hasn’t been an easy week. It’s hard work trying to be positive right now.
I like having my hop project finished except for the binding and writing my post. I had fun playing with several fabrics from this pile:

I love the diary my sons and their wives keep, recording funny, quirky things my grandchildren say. This week one of my granddaughters had an issue with art classes.
Quote from Charlotte:
“Mom, I don’t like art at school! They show you what to do and then tell you what you have to use to make it. That’s NOT art! You should be able to create what you want, how you want! I mean, it’s supposed to be YOUR creation. I don’t get it!”
- Charlotte – age 8
In case you hadn’t guessed, my DIL has encouraged the girls to play with art and craft supplies (and yes, they have had sewing lessons, too!) from the time they could hold things. The girls are also encouraged to think and express those thoughts. All in all they are pretty independent already!
Here is my weekly Clarke photo to make you smile.😉

I’d like to wish all of my American family and friends a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. May your day be filled with laughter, joy and great food. 🍗🥧
Do pop over to LeeAnna’s blog to see what everyone is sharing this week. Thank you for visiting. Please stay safe safe, stay well and remain calm. 😷 Carol
Charlotte knows her stuff! I’m so sorry about you having to say goodbye to your pup, so I’m sending a virtual hug. I have cookie dough in the fridge, so I can bake tomorrow. Those fabrics are fun; can’t wait to see what you are creating!

That’s a great Clark photo! And yeah, I agree with Charlotte, wise words. Hugs to you. It’s a tough year dealing with loss when we can’t be in person with friends and family.

Hi Carol! I see Clarke is a BIG help with the laundry. We have that kind of help, too. Can you even imagine a teacher telling you what to create?! Charlotte will realize later that some adults PAY to go to a teacher to have her tell not only what to create but will also sell you the fabric. HAHA! Ooh, that snowman fabric on the bottom with the bird on his head goes so well with the red and purple fabrics. I can’t wait to see what you’ve made. I just finished my binding! Phew, plenty of time for Monday’s post. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. Clarke is definitely a big help to her Mommy! 😉. Sure hope you are enjoying your looooong weekend and had a wonderful Thanksgiving. You finished your binding already? That’s my chore for tonight if all goes according to plans 😁

I’ve been having back trouble so I just caught up on your posts. Great cookies and xmas stories, love Clark with those widdle feet, Santa sleigh shots, stories of your game nights…

Oh No LeeAnna. I’m sorry to hear of your back bothering you. Aren’t those feet (and the rest of her) so adorable? Be well my friend and stay safe. 💕
