To Do Tuesday #20

Here I am late again! I am sure today is Monday! šŸ¤”. Where did the days go?

First of all let’s see how I did with last week’s list:

1. Finish Star Kissed Quilt Along Project. Nope!

2. Finish my secret sewing project. Nope!

3. Finish writing a pattern for my Boxed Quilt. Nope!

4. Finish the scrappy quilt borders. Nope!

5. Knitting and crocheting as time allows. Nope

My week was taken up with plumbing issues, family issues, no working machine until I borrowed a friend’s!

This week I will;

1. Finish Star Kissed Quilt Along Project.

2. Finish my secret sewing project.

3. Finish writing a pattern for my Boxed Quilt.

4. Finish the scrappy quilt borders.

5. Knitting and crocheting as time allows.

I’m thinking this list might be overly ambitious with DH having surgery and my daughter having to come and stay unexpectedly for a week or ten. šŸ˜

I’m hoping that the parts are in for my machine and I can just exchange it for the other that needs some TLC when I take DH for his 6:00 am surgery slot. The real problem will be finding something to do until the shop opens at 10:00.

I’ll be linking with Roseanne and Sue at

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Some weeks are like that, and it’s okay to have a list made up for this week, just in case. Hope things go well for the surgery, etc. and that his recovery is quick and without issues! Enjoy the time with your daughter, no matter how long or short šŸ™‚

    1. Hi Wendy. Just in Case is my motto this week. I am pretty confident surgery will go well. The surgeon is pretty impressive. šŸ˜‰ as for enjoying the time with my daughter, I will and the added bonus is my granddaughter is driving her Mom here so I get to see 2 of my favourite beauties!

  2. Hi Carol! What day is today?? Why did I miss this post?? Did you actually link up?? Is that a casino/gambling-themed quilt I see?? That must be the secret sewing project. I’ve been jonesing for a visit to the casino but that’s not going to happen any time soon or even this calendar year. Can’t wait to see this, Carol! I hope the surgery and traveling has gone well. {{Hugs}} to you and DH. ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Hi Roseanne. I think I did linkup but my mind might be playing tricks on mešŸ˜‰. Life is nuts. Got up at 3:00 am to have DH at the hospital for his surgery. The casino themed fabric is a caddy for his walker. I’m just finishing tearing home apart for when he gets sprung. My daughter and granddaughter are enroute. My daughter will be staying for 1-10 weeks or as long as it takes for her to stabilize. WooHoo 2 to take care of 😁 Took 2 machines in to the hospital today (they weren’t open at 6:00 am yesterday so had to make the trip again today). I know I will not survive with no machines so I broke into my saving for a longarm fund and bought a little Janome for my sanity šŸ˜‰. Casino? Wouldn’t that be fun. They are open some places in America but I don’t think I’d want to take the chance. Thanks for the hug. I’m sure I felt it from here! šŸ˜‰
