April OMG

April is starting slowly for me. The Covid 19 self isolating and social distancing is having a bit of an effect on me. I pick up things to work on and then put them down, only to pick up something else. DH told me to shop for fabric and gave me a budget. I looked at every Canadian fabric shop on line I could find, but didn’t put anything in my cart 😲. Nothing said it needed to come to my home! I know…….it’s crazy!

So I have decided that once my thread arrives I am going to finish quilting my Robbie Robotix quilt and get the binding on. I’ve been waiting since the week before last for it to arrive 🤔

Once that is done, I will finish the quilt top I am testing the pattern for.

Then my One Monthly Goal for April will be to do my projects for two upcoming blog hops.

The ideas are starting to rumble around in my mind for what to do. I have been pulling fabrics from my stash to see what will play well together if what I am planning works out.

Stash is down to only 5 shelves in one cupboard 🤔

Thank you all for stopping by. Have you checked out the other participants in the OMG challenge? I’ve been peeking at the goals others are setting and cheering them on. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Looking forward to seeing what you are making for the hops!! Wow, nothing needed a new home on your shelves!!! That is quite odd, but I’ve found myself in that same place…nothing yells at me to take it home!!

  2. Hi Carol! Wow – shopping, even with a budget, and nothing to show at the end of all that browsing?!! I haven’t even been browsing . . . {{hugs}} Good luck with your OMG! ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Oh the robot quilt is cute! Did you design this?
Of late I too shop online and nothing speaks to me! Usually when I don’t have any money is when I find many perfect fabrics. I suspect after all this disease business calms down, there are going to be some vibrant choices!

    1. The robot was a kit a few years back from Connecting Threads. I made it and this quilt was made from those leftovers and a few more from my stash. Can you believe 2 quilts almost for the price of one? 😉I’m so glad I’m not the only one that isn’t finding fabric buying inspiration on line. I was beginning to think something is wrong with me 😉. Stay safe and healthy.

  4. Things are pretty bad when you put nothing in your cart. But you have got some ideas in my mind for Blog Hops. Seems that you are doing quite a bit. Good luck with your goals.
