I Love Thursday

I love the fact that after 2 days of snow, the sun is shining today and we have pretty blue skies.

Wednesday morning 6:00 am view before the snowfall increased.

On Wednesday DH had an appointment with a surgeon so we had to go to town. On the way home the car hit some deep slush and went into a bad skid. I just missed a head on with a red Subaru and a RCMP cruiser. I love the fact that I still remember my defensive driving skills from when I lived in the north country!

I love the fact that after 5 days travelling from airport to airport, to airport, trying to get to work in Saudi Arabia, my son is safely home with his family for a two week self imposed quarantine.

I love the time I get to spend with my fabric getting ready for the Quilt Qwazy Queens Hop starting March 18.

Is that not the most fun and inspiring list of bloggers you’ve seen for a while? I’d like to thank Joan for stepping up to be the host this year and giving us all a reason to be creative to celebrate International Quilting Day. Do stop by the blogs for a giggle since the theme is “Making Us Laugh”. My collection of scraps has progressed but I can’t show the finish. Here’s a progress photo:

Almost a flimsy!

Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me. 😄 Carol.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Carol, I was so excited to see that you were joining us in the QQQ blog hop!! It is going to be so much fun and definitely comes at a time when we use a smile or a laugh. Mercy, you have had the snow!! We are getting a storm this weekend and the mountains are expecting up to 3 feet! We won’t get anything like that here in the valley, but I could wish!! I hate driving in it, but that’s a good reason to stay home and quilt!

    1. Hi Susan. Just stay away from the snow as I learned on Tuesday. I’m getting excited. I’m almost done my project and I know I’m smiling. I had started my project for a hop in the fall so had to finish it first. Been a week here so not much to show for it but next week will be better. I think we could all use a smile, giggle or laugh will the news these days. Fabric does help! 😁

  2. Hi Carol! WOWEE! How scary was that. Geez, I’m so glad to hear there was no accident and also that your son is safe and with his family. I can’t wait to see what all those pretty fabrics grow into. It’ll be a fun blog hop for sure. ~smile~ Roseanne
