This Week

This week I am continuing on with my goal to keep up with Kate at Life in Pieces 15 minutes a day challenge.

To date this month, I have made my goal every day but one!

I finished another top that was a pattern test last week. I might be able to get it sandwiched this week.

I am working on quilting my little quilt for my great granddaughter, Clarke which I made from a pattern that I tested for Becca of Pretty Piney Quilts. You can read about that fun project Here. It’s slow going but I am taking my time and enjoying it, but aim to have it ready for binding by next weekend when I’m teaching at my Guild.

My next goal is to finish piecing the blocks for a pattern test. The flying geese units are done. I just need to sew the units and assemble the top.

Next up is to start quilting my Mosaic Mystery Quilt.

I was going to start another quilt, but our Guild is doing tree blocks for the Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild charity drive for the victims of the horrendous fires they are experiencing. I’ve done 4 so far and I think I will just concentrate on the for now.

I missed the Project Quilting Challenge. I had ideas for the team challenge but no time to actually do anything with those ideas. Hopefully the next one,

I’m happy to say I am still on my fabric diet! No additional fabric added. More going out than coming in is a good thing. 😉

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you had time to play this weekend.

😉 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. You have some very pretty projects in the works. Your granddaughters quilt is beautiful. Congrats on finding the time to stitch and on the fabric diet. I’ve decided that fabric dieting is just as hard as the calorie counting kind. Thank you for linking up with 15 minutes to Stitch.

    1. Thank you very much. I love your 15 minutes to stitch goal! The diet hasn’t been so bad since we moved out of a 3600 sq. ft. house and in to a 600 sq. ft. apartment over a year ago and I have limited space! 😉 Carol
