Wonderful Wednesday

Temperatures here are still below freezing and a nasty cold wind is blowing, but it’s still snowing. The forecast for the next two weeks is more snow but the temperatures will be rising on the weekend. Sounds like a really good reason to stay in and sew to me.

That’s just what I did today.

My Mystery Mosaic Quilt has the first border on! Doing the happy dance. I’m having a difficult time deciding which fabrics to use for the next border and binding so I’ll look at it in daylight outside.

Mystery Mosaic parts and pieces!
Rows are done!

I can’t believe these bits came together as beautifully as they did. I wasn’t too sure about using the black but it’s perfect. I can’t wait to take pictures out in the snow tomorrow.

The other project I’m working on is a pattern test so I can only show the fabrics.

Pattern Test Fabric Pull

I did get all of the fabric cut and pieces labelled today. I’m looking forward to starting this one. My granddaughter requested a purple and green quilt for her daughter’s big girl bed. Nova-Lee has outgrown her crib so it’s time.

Another quilt ready to go! Ssshh it’s a secret project!

That was my fun for the day!

What are you working on?

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Look at you being all creative!!! Love the fabric for your granddaughter’s quilt and I can’t wait to see the finished quilt!! I love using black as a background with bright colors…they really pop!!! You have so much going on and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing them all finished.
