Hello and welcome to my To Do List.
I have to say it’s been a good week. DH and I stayed home as always for New Years. I did go outside at midnight to see the fireworks that were being set off in various yards around the valley. It was nice to see, but I could also hear the dogs and livestock that weren’t enjoying it as much as we humans do. 🎆

I did share this on a post earlier this week, but had to include it again because it really does describe my week; enjoying time with DH, getting myself organized and time with my fabric every day.
My Last To-Do Goals:

Now it’s time to see how I did with my goals for the week:
✅ 1. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks. I have made some changes to my plan for these blocks (again) and have started stitching. If it works I can show out next week. If it doesn’t, Jack and I will be spending some time together 🤣

✅ 2. Finish resizing the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia. I’ve made some progress and have this pile sitting by my machine:

✅ 3. Get the needlepoint mounted and done. It’s been soaked and dried. Now I have to go shopping for a frame since the one I had is not the right size 🥹

4. Finish more blocks for the memory quilts No progress 🥹

✅ 5. Work on binding the stack of quilts. I have finished binding and attaching a label on one of the quilts. I had forgotten I had made a new version of a sweet quilt from a panel that had had really liked. I even did the quilting on my dsm using a free hand version of a panto that is at the studio. One purchase I made last year was 3 more of the panels when I saw them on clearance rack since I knew I had some baby quilts to make early this year. Now there are only 4 quilts left (including another duplicate one I had made last year since I liked the first version so much) in the needs binding pile. 😁

6. If I finish more of the above projects I will start another of the projects from my project bins. Didn’t start anything new since I was doing some organizing and playing with my WIPs. 😉

7. Determine what I will do with these lovely hrt’s. No progress yet, but I have been browsing patterns and playing with designs 🤣

✅ 8. I’m already planning my first start for 2026. Just look what is going to be starting soon:
I have narrowed down my choice to a couple of alternate orphan blocks or ?, and have pulled fabrics that might work.
✅ 9. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me again or sidetracking me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️ I stayed on track this week in spite of all of the projects Samantha kept showing me.
This Week’s goals:

1. Continue with my new plan making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks.

2. Continue working on the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia.

3. Get the needlepoint finished when I get a frame on my trip to town later this week.

4. Finish more blocks for the memory quilts

5. Work on binding the stack of quilts.
6. If I finish more of the above projects I will start another of the projects from my project bins.

7. Determine what I will do with these lovely hrt’s.

8. I’m excited to start my version of the SAHRR.

9. If I can get my head around the challenge, do something for Project Quilting 17.1.
10. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me again or sidetracking me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 3/31
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total: 0/0
- Total: 3/3
- Percentage = 100 %
How are you doing with your goal to stitch for at least 15 minutes each day? Have you joined Kate’s challenge? 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. Last year I didn’t manage to use as much stash fabric as I planned since I don’t get to go to the studio and play on the long arm, but I’ve been working on finishing quilts on my dsm. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 0 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 100 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage. I’ve been using mostly scraps, leftover bits and donated treasures and not a lot of yardage from my stash.😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
