Hello and welcome to my To Do List for the week. First of all I’d like to wish all my American family and friends a Happy Thanksgiving.
I hope your week is filled with family, fine food, laughter and maybe some fabric fun times!

My Last To-Do Goals:

My week was busy as usual with meetings, volunteering at the Golf Club and appointments for DH but I managed my stitching time every day. Still no snow in sight in our forecast so I’ll be busy with he golf club for the foreseeable future. It’s crazy to think we will still be golfing in December!

Now it’s time to see how I did with my goals for the week:
1. Keep making some bags for the Christmas Hamper/Dinner event in December from everything I have kitted up. Managed to get 1 finished. 🥹

2. Work on the Pattern Test. There are almost 800 pieces in this beauty! I’m actually do some stitching on this and have almost half of the blocks made. Blocks are almost all sewn; just need to square them up and get the flimsy assembled 😁

3. Pull and cut fabric for the second pattern test. It’s a beauty! Fabrics are cut and I even managed to get some piecing done 😁

4. Get the needlepoint stitched so I can decide how to finish it. No progress since I’m trying to get the pattern tests done. 😢

5. Finish the quilt top using the leftover bits of blocks I have from Denise’s Treasure boxes she sent of goodies; leftovers and fabric pieces. No progress; the pattern tests you know 🤭

6. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks. No progress 😢

7. Finish the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia. No progress 😢

8. Keep working on my project for the Christmas Cookie Exchange Blog Hop in December. Carol from Just Let Me Quilt is stepping up to host this one. Just about finished and then I can do my baking and write my blog post 😁

9. Finish more blocks for the memory quilts. No progress 😢

10. If I finish any of the above projects I will start another of the projects from my project bins. No such luck; maybe in December? 😢

11. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me again or sidetracking me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️ ✅ I’m so happy to get one check mark finally! No being distracted from my list this week. 🤭
This Week’s goals:
This is my photo of my sewing corner in the clubhouse when the restaurant is closed:

It’s going to be tight, but I need to get both pattern tests and my blog hop project/post done this week.
We have family coming in from America to spend time with my DH’s father in law. He was diagnosed with Leukaemia 4 years ago. The chemo is no longer working and we are losing him. He’s one of the sweetest, most intelligent, good humoured men I know so it’s hard. If it’s possible to have any thing positive with this situation, it’s having the American crew visiting now so will also get time with my DH before his condition gets any worse.

Realistically I plan on getting 1,2 and 3 done with all that’s going on and family coming. If I can’t get any more bags done, I’ll check my bins for some quilts to donate instead to the Christmas Hampers Dinner and work on the bags for next year.
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 4/31
- February 2/28
- March 10/31
- April 12/30
- May 29/31
- June 28/30
- July 31/31
- August 30/30
- September 26/30
- October 25/31
- November 22/30
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total: 221/320
- Total: 228/327
- Percentage = 69.72 %
I might even get my stitching time back up to 70% by year end! 🤣. I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan trips to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 15 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 9 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 36 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 200 50 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage. I’m lessening my goal since I’ve been using mostly scraps, leftover bits and donated treasures and since I’ll not be getting to use my longarm my backing fabric usage will be minimal.😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
Memories of Quilts From the Past

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.
I’m including some photos of my current WIPs;

My UFO and WIP List
Last but not least I have to update my UFO Speadsheet and then try keeping it up to date and so help with my accountability now that I have gone through everything in my storage room and sewing space. I think I’ve given up on getting this updated. I might just wait and start fresh next year. 🫤.

PS. Thank you if you bought me a coffee. I do appreciate your support.

Loved looking at your projects. With no links to look at, I was checking out the links in this blog and checking out some of the other things you are doing. Love the rainbow quilt (well you know I love rainbows). I did 15 minutes a day about 5 years ago. I am thinking maybe that will help with my new situation with the move and all. I have added it to my daily habits and we shall see how it goes starting with December. I need to update my excel sheet as well. This year was very chaotic and the sewing time I did was always a blessing. Unfortunately, not a lot of finishes happened. Good luck on your pattern testing this week. Sending positive vibes for DH. Hope you enjoy the American family visit. Hugs your way.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment. Can I just say I’m sitting here trying not to blubber away. Seem to be very emotional these days. At least the party is live now so everyone can join in. 🤗 Carol

Sounds like hard holiday for your family. But it’s good everyone gets to come and make good memories now. Good luck with your to do list and congrats on all the stitching time.
