Hello from a wet, cooler valley in BC! No we still don’t have snow and there isn’t any in the long range forecast, but we have been getting rain and the creeks which have been too low are filling up so I’m not going to complain!

My Last To-Do Goals:

My week was busy as usual with meetings, volunteering at the Golf Club and appointments for DH but I managed my stitching time every day.
I didn’t have a chance to work on things from my list as much as I’d hoped because I was busy trying to finish my blog hop project and working on not one, but now two pattern tests!isn’t it a good thing I work well with extremely tight deadlines? 🤭
Now it’s time to see how I did with my goals for the week:
🔲 Keep making bags for the Christmas Hampers/Party that I have kitted up. Managed to get some stitching time on these bags! 😁

🔲 Get the needlepoint stitched so I can decide how to finish it. No progress here. 😢

🔲 Finish the quilt top using the leftover bits of blocks I have from Denise’s Treasure boxes she sent of goodies; leftovers and fabric pieces. This is back on the list because I decided I do have to add borders and no, I didn’t get it done. 😢

🔲 Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks No progress this week. 😢

🔲 Finish the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia. No progress.

🔲 Keep working on my project for the Christmas Cookie Exchange Blog Hop in December. I’m almost done! 😁

🔲 Finish more blocks for the memory quilts No progress 😢

🔲 If I finish any of the above projects I will start another of the projects from my project bins. No finishes so I couldn’t work on anything from these project bins. 😢

🔲 Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me again or sidetracking me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️ Samantha and her buddies convinced me to do another Pattern Test after I had agreed to do one last week! 🤔
This Week’s goals:
The restaurant in the clubhouse is now on a winter schedule and only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That means I have a corner set up with one of my machines and a cutting mat. In between checking golfers in I should be able to play with fabric. I’ll try to remember to get a photo of my corner this week!
I’m hoping to get at least one of the pattern tests finished this week since I just happen to have two whole days of stitching time at the Guild and some amazing friends are staying with DH so I don’t have to cut my day short or keep leaving to check on him.

1. Keep making some bags for the Christmas Hamper/Dinner event in December from everything I have kitted up.
2. Work on the Pattern Test. There are almost 800 pieces in this beauty! 🤭 I’m actually do some stitching on this and have almost half of the blocks made.

3. Pull and cut fabric for the second pattern test. It’s a beauty!
4. Get the needlepoint stitched so I can decide how to finish it.s
5. Finish the quilt top using the leftover bits of blocks I have from Denise’s Treasure boxes she sent of goodies; leftovers and fabric pieces.
6. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks.
7. Finish the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia.
8. Keep working on my project for the Christmas Cookie Exchange Blog Hop in December. Carol from Just Let Me Quilt is stepping up to host this one
9. Finish more blocks for the memory quilts
10. If I finish any of the above projects I will start another of the projects from my project bins.
11. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me again or sidetracking me from my list. 🐿️🐿️🐿️
Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 4/31
- February 2/28
- March 10/31
- April 12/30
- May 29/31
- June 28/30
- July 31/31
- August 30/30
- September 26/30
- October 25/31
- November 15/30
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total: 214/313
- Total: 221/320
- Percentage = 69.06 %
I might even get my stitching time back up to 70% by year end! 🤣. Considering the way the year started I’m happy with how it’s finishing! I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan trips to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 15 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 9 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 36 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 200 50 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage. I’m lessening my goal since I’ve been using mostly scraps, leftover bits and donated treasures and since I’ll not be getting to use my longarm my backing fabric usage will be minimal.😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
Memories of Quilts From the Past

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.
I’m including some photos of my current WIPs;

My UFO and WIP List
Last but not least I have to update my UFO Speadsheet and then try keeping it up to date and so help with my accountability now that I have gone through everything in my storage room and sewing space. I think I’ve given up on getting this updated. I might just wait and start fresh next year. 🫤.

PS. Thank you if you bought me a coffee. I do appreciate your support.

Great that the Linky is back up and thank you for adding me! With a blog hop and TWO quilt tester projects as well as your normal volunteer stuff it’s understandable if your weekly list has to take a back seat from time to time. Now about that Lone Star “blast from the past”: is that one of yours? Did you hand quilt it?!? I’ll be doing a deep dive on your blog to find out! Enjoy the rest of the week!

The Lone Star was a little panel and was the start of my new addiction of doing handwork in the evening. It was hand quilted and donated somewhere (I think) 😉

Sounds like you made good progress on stuff that wasn’t on the to do list. Hope the pattern testing goes smoothly. Congrats on another week of 7/7 stitching days!
