I hope you’ve all had a good week making progress on your lists. Mine was a decent week and I did make a bit of progress on a couple of my projects and have a finish to share 😁
I had a lovely birthday complete with Cinnamon Bun Cheesecake; so good 😋

When I went to the Guild I was able to get some decent photos;

All in all it was one of the best week’s I’ve had in a while. 🥳
My Last To-Do Goals:

While I am still busy volunteering at the golf club and having doctor’s appointments for DH and meeting for both the Golf Club and my Guild and having a birthday, I did manage to stitch every day. I also managed to get to the Guild for both quilting days. 😁
Now it’s time to see how I did with my goals for the week:
1. Keep making some bags for the Christmas Hamper/Dinner event in December from everything I have kitted up. No progress 😢

2. Get the needlepoint finished so I can decide how to finish it. Still working on it but it’s coming along ✅ 😁

3. Finish making my quilt top from my crumb blocks and leftover panel blocks. No progress 😢

4. Keep working to empty my project bins. No progress, but still didn’t start anything new 😉

5. Keep making some progress on the memory quilts from all of my family’s t-shirts or clothing on the never ending stack of blocks (yes there are still more pieces of clothing to use up) No progress 😢

6. Finish the blocks for the quilt for C’s friend in Nova Scotia. Some progress ✅ 😁

7. Get the quilt top finished using stash fabrics first sashing along with the blocks I’ve made from Denise’s donated bits from the Treasure boxes she sent of goodies Sashing strips are being added and the quilt top should be finished next week. ✅ 😁

8. Finish writing my post for my project for an upcoming hop. ✅ 😁 Finished and posted. You can read about it here.

9. Keep working on my project for my favourite Hop of the year:

Carol from Just Let Me Quilt is stepping up to host this one ✅ 😁Making progress on this one.
10. Keep Samantha and her squirrel buddies from distracting me or coercing me to start anything else new 🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️🐿️ ✅ 😁 I didn’t start anything new

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day!
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. 🤔
- January 4/31
- February 2/28
- March 10/31
- April 12/30
- May 29/31
- June 28/30
- July 31/31
- August 30/30
- September 26/30
- October 11/31
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total: 186/285
- Total: 193/292
- Percentage = 65.75 %
I was able to get my stitching time in again this week. I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan trips to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 🤩
- Fabric Used: 0 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 15 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 9 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 90 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 200 50 yards this year but realistically I’ll be happy with whatever I manage. I’m lessening my goal since I’ve been using mostly scraps, leftover bits and donated treasures and since I’ll not be getting to use my longarm my backing fabric usage will be minimal.😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
Memories of Quilts From the Past

Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.
I’m including some photos of my current WIPs;

My UFO and WIP List
Last but not least I have to update my UFO Speadsheet and then try keeping it up to date and so help with my accountability now that I have gone through everything in my storage room and sewing space. I think I’ve given up on getting this updated. I might just wait and start fresh next year. 🫤.

Lots of great projects and some progress. When using scraps it seems like you sew forever and the pile never decreases.

Donna you are so right! I think my scraps in the bins have been multiplying while I sleep. 😉

I love how your bat quilt looks like stained glass in the window! Your birthday cake looks very yummy. It’s so nice that your guild owns your building and you can visit anytime. We meet in a large senior center for our guild meetings each month. Then we rent a space at a church for intown retreats and for our national teachers. Not ideal as it’s cold and damp in the basement but at least we have a space! Have a great week. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.

Thank you Brenda for your sweet comment. It is wonderful that our guild owns its building and our memberships and fundraising allows us to maintain and improve our space. 😆
