Favourite Finish in December

Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirl is hosting her Favourite Finish for December Linky Party.

I’ve had a year where I forgot to document or photograph some finishes.. in my defence it was just another year continuing with the craziness, busyness, and insanity of my years since Covid!

Yes it was another one of these years! Wildfires and Evacuation Alerts!

I can share some photos of quilts that were very special to me:

I’m guessing this is maybe 1/4 of this year’s projects. I’m working on getting my UFO and WIP Lusts in order so I’ll have better records next year. 😉

My ultimate favourite finishes this year are the two quilts I have been working on in December.

This Special Christmas Star Quilt:

It’s now quilted and I’m just finishing the binding so I will count it as finished. 😉

But then there is this one:

I’ll add more photos when I get this one the frame.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Wow, you had a really good year! Was your granddaughter’s “Train Case” the By Annie one? Wowsa too on the two Star quilt tops! The Christmas star looks like a fun jelly roll design. Was that another tester?

    1. Thank you Vivian. The train case didn’t have a pattern. I made it up as I went along. The Christmas Star is a pattern called Snow Kissed Star from McCalls Quilting Nov/Dec 2011, not a tester. It was one of those “I’ll keep this pattern to make it someday patterns!” 🤣
