Hello and welcome to this week’s edition of my not so crazy life! I’ve had a lovely week with plenty of time for stitching, for long walks in our continued incredible fall weather, had time to do things at home while DH managed a few holes of golf most days. And helped a friend get things organized for the Golf Club AGM.
I’m still not able to share some exciting news, but I can share some beautiful photos of my great grands when they took part in a memory walk for our Clarke.

My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and embroidery sampler as time and my eyesight allow. No progress. 😢
2. Try to finish binding the seven now five quilts.

3. Finish the memory quilts for my son and granddaughters from a collection of T-shirts from my son, DIL and granddaughters and our Clarke’s clothing. No progress on these quilts yet 😢

4. Keep playing with the orphan blocks and goodies from Denise, with some additions from my stash, to use up more bits and pieces until those project boxes are empty. No progress! 😢

5. Finish making the blocks from my crumb blocks before Monique hands me another bag of Tula Pink scraps. No progress😢
6. Start assembling this quilt top. Only 3 more rows to piece and this will be a finished flimsy!😢

7. Start on the commission quilt. Some sewing has begun! 🤣
8. Get going on the pattern test. I finished the pattern test for Sandra Walker of MMM Quilts of one of the two baby quilt patterns that she has added to her Lilac Love pattern and the baby quilts have the new name of Fall Flair.

9. Start playing on my projects for the next hop being hosted by Joan of Moosestash Quilting. I’ve had some fun progress on this one! 😁

10. Start on the project for the final Hop of the year (my all time favourite hop) which is being hosted by Carol from Just Let Me Quilt. Fabric has been pulled, and is being cut 😁

11. Get some progress on our friend Gail from Quilting Gail’s Mystery QAL’s? Just click on her name or the logo below to go seethe details if you’d like to join in! 🤩 I managed to pull fabrics, but haven’t started yet! I really need to catch up!😅
12. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me🐿🐿🐿🐿. No check mark here! Another pattern test I was expecting to do has come in and I’m working on it! 😉
This Week’s goals:
This week has me doing nothing much but cleaning home, getting ready for the snow that is forecast later this week, helping with a few things at the golf course and enjoying my stitching time!
Now it’s time for my new To Do Tuesday List:

Stitchin’ Time

Kate from Life in Pieces hosts a weekly linky party to help us keep to our goals of stitching every day.
I’m trying for at least 30 minutes a day this year and 1 hour at the end of the week to tidy up and deal with my scraps. I wasn’t really off to a good start, but it is getting better as things settle down in my real life time and commitments lessen. 🤔
- January 21/31
- February 27/29
- March 27/31
- April 20/30
- May 26/31
- June 22/30
- July 31/31
- August 24/31
- September 30/30
- October 13/19
- this week 7/7
- Previous Total 241/293
- Total: 248/300
- Percentage = 82.66 %
At this rate, I might get back up to 85 or even 90% by the end of the year! I hope you all get to set and keep your goals for your Stitching Time and join Kate. 😁

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash. If I can plan a trip to the studio I expect my stash to be reduced terrifically when I start making backings for all of the quilt tops I’ve got to do. 😁
- Fabric Used: 5 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 20 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 0 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 1 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash, but I have reduced my stash these past few years and only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. If I do purchase fabric I add it to my Balance in stash to use this year in order to continue reducing my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
Design Wall Mondays

Judy, at Small Quilts and Doll Quilts, hosts a linky party for “Design Wall Mondays” every week.

You’ve been moving along with your projects this year. Considering how much you do outside the house, your progress is pretty amazing. Good luck with this week’s to do list. Happy stitching.
