I’m happy to report my ankle is doing well, I’m walking and even able to manage some stitching time these past 2 weeks and I have a lot to share!
I’ve been getting out for walks. We still don’t have any snow but the days have been alternating between grey and gloomy and clear and cold.
But first, let’s see how I did with my list:
My Last To-Do Goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and leader/ender projects as time and my foot/ankle allow. No progress 😢
2. Keep working on my Dresden blocks. (I have to find them first. I did some furniture re-arranging and managed to misplace several things 😂). I found them and have a plan! 😁
3. Get caught up with the Rainbow Neighbourhood QAL hosted by Sandra Walker from MMM Quilts. I’d love to get this one done. No progress 😢

4. Allow myself to keep playing on a couple of projects from the boxes of treasures I received from Denise as my leader/ender projects. No progress 😢
5. If I can manage to get away I have commissions from June to make alterations to one quilt and do another quilt on the longarm. Not going to get away so I need to devise an alternate plan. 🤔
6. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me. I’ll keep this list minimal until I see how my ankle is doing.🐿🐿🐿🐿 Samantha struck again!
I finished one of my older UFO’s:

I finished a pattern test which I’ll have to wait to share fully:

I’ve almost completed the additions to a commission quilt:

And last, but certainly not least, I’ve started another pattern test:

My goals have changed so here’s my list for this week so far:
This Week’s goals:
1. Keep working on my EPP, embroidery and leader/ender projects as time and my foot/ankle allow.
2. Keep working on my Dresden blocks now that I have a plan!
3. Get caught up with the Rainbow Neighbourhood QAL hosted by Sandra Walker from MMM Quilts.

4. Allow myself to keep playing on a couple of projects from the boxes of treasures I received from Denise as my leader/ender projects.
5. Start planning projects for two upcoming blog hops:

6. Finish my pattern test!
7. Do not let Samantha or any of her squirrel buddies side track me. I’ll keep this list minimal until I see how my ankle is doing.🐿🐿🐿🐿
Fingers crossed that there will be some fabric therapy on my agenda this week in between having to renew DH’s passport, some medical appointments, Golf Course meetings and working at a referendum vote.
Studio To – Do List
At this time I’m thinking I won’t make it back to the studio to check on D. any time soon. My DH has slipped a bit in his battle with MS and needs me here. I think these projects will have to wait a good while. In the mean time D and I talk almost every day. 🤗
1. When I get back to the studio make quilting my Roll of the Dice quilt the priority and get the binding put on. No progress 😢
2. Finish my second Heading North quilt, designed by Sandra of MMM Quilts which I left at the studio. No progress 😢
3. Work on the last binding that needs to be hand stitched when I get back to the studio. No progress 😢

Stash Report

I like to link with Donna @ QuiltPaintCreate to keep track of fabric in and out of my stash.
- Fabric Used: 12 yards
- Fabric Purchased this week: 0 yards
- Fabric Previous Balance: 40 yards
- Fabric Purchased this year: 3 yards
- Balance in stash to use this year: 26 yards
* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards this year. I haven’t managed to actually figure out how much fabric I really have in my stash, but I have reduced my stash these past few years and really only purchase fabric if I need it for a particular project. If I do purchase fabric I add it to my Balance in stash to use this year in order to continue reducing my stash. 😉
* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash!
PHD in 2023
