Gail from Quilting Gail created this fun event that (to me) signals the start of my QAL adventures for the year. She did it by herself the first year and then had some of my favourite bloggers join in with prompts.
Here is my block for the 2033 SAHRR:

I have done the SAHRR for the past two years (no, my flimsies are not quilted, but are languishing in the To Be Quilted bins, patiently waiting their turn to become finished quilts.

Here is the schedule for the hop. There are some incredible prizes to be won so pop over to Gail’s site HERE to get all of the background info.
- January 16: Center Block Reveal: Gail @ Quilting Gail
- January 23: 1st Round: Roseanne & Sue @ Home Sewn by Us
- January 30 : 2nd Round: Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life – ME!!
- February 6: 3rd Round: Chris @ Chrisknitssews
- February 13: 4th Round: Anja @ Anja Quilts
- February 20: 5th Round: Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
- February 27: 6th Round: Gail @ Quilting Gail
- March 13: Parade – showing all of your finished SAHRRs!
Like Wendy from Pieceful Thoughts of my Quilting Life I had an opportunity to test a pattern for Sandra Healy Designs. Hmm I’m sensing a pattern here. I used a Cardinal Block last year from Sandra for my SAHRR Center Block 😉
So if you don’t have too many projects and are looking for a really fun, easy going, no stress QAL, you really should join the fun.
Thanking you for stopping by. I really appreciate knowing you were here and love answering your comments! 🤗 Carol

I love your block Carol! Thanks for showing us your past ones, I feel better now about my “languishing” flimsy. 🙂

Hi Linda. Thank you. I think it will be a fun block to build on. I refuse to fret about my languishing flimsiest (so many). I just keep thinking that I’ll get to them when time and DH allow 😉

Thanks Gail. I do love that little block. Your QAL is always my first QAL every year and signals a start to a year of fun! Maybe this year I’ll even get to finish on time. 😉

Hi Roseanne. I hadn’t really thought of the significance of this block to me, other than the fact it’s so stinking cute! Now I’m realizing why 😉 As far as I’m concerned 2023 is starting now with the SAHRR.
