2022 SAHRR

Are you stitching along on this fun challenge? It’s one I look forward to once I discovered it last year on Quilting Gail’s blog.

For my centre block I’m using a fun little block that I recently did for a pattern test for Sandra Healey of Sandra Healy Designs.

Round 1 was a prompt from Anja from Anja Quilts to use curves. Curves are not my favourite to sew, although Wendy at Piecefull Thoughts of my Quilting Life did a fun tutorial on Improv Curves that I was tempted to try. 😉

Instead I did wonky Curvy Log Cabin blocks;

Then it was Emily at The Darling Dogwood’s turn to choose Diamonds for Round 2.

For Round 3 Roseanne and Sue from Home Sewn by Us gave us stars for a prompt. I enjoy doing wonky stars and these little stars finish at 3”. I had a couple of pattern tests to do so I only managed the time to make two stars for the top and bottom borders. 😉

At this point my little quilt is 28” square.

The next prompt came from Wendy at Piecefull Thoughts of my Quilting Life. She gave us the signature block.

My version has signature blocks on the top and bottom borders so that I can use them as labels. My plan is to embroider them once the quilt is finished.

Thank you for stopping by to read my post. I enjoy answering comments, and take it as the biggest compliment if you follow my blog. The sign up is on my home page 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Hi Carol! Ahh, I love your little signature blocks. They make the perfect addition to the top and bottom. You know what they remind me of – little wrapped candies, just waiting to be opened up to something delightful. I also love how the pull out the red and brown from the centerpiece. This is turning out so gorgeous. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
