I confess to being the recipient of a squirrel attack today. Actually it hit me yesterday but I was just putting the borders on another finish.
After a week of playing with scraps, the timing was perfect because Sandra from MMM Quilts just published a new pattern in her Etsy Shop. You all know how much I enjoy making anything with Sandra’s patterns. Then I saw Wendy’s version on Instagram and knew that nothing would satisfy my interest but dropping everything and making it!
My focal fabric is a Robert Kaufman fabric that I have been hoarding saving for a special project.
I was distracted a few times to go out and watch the helicopters but in no time at all I had this beauty coming together.
All in all, I started and finished this quilt top in just a few hours!
This little quilt or wall hanging finishes at 36 1/2” square. I’m thinking that I will add more borders to make it a bit larger.
All of the quilt tops I’m working on these days will be quilted when I can get to the studio after the evacuation alert is rescinded and then donated to the Quilts for Lytton Fire.

Oh I love that Kaufman fabric – it looks great in this quilt! I have a second fabric pull waiting – I’m trying to ignore it and get some of the things I need to get done, done! LOL. Isn’t it a fun pattern? And so quick! Nicely done!

Hi Wendy. I love this pattern! I just couldn’t resist making it after seeing Sandra’s and yours. I did behave and finish the to I was working on first. I wish I had more of that Kaufman fabric. I’ve saved the last of it for a special project. I have an idea for a second pull but really have to finish a test and a hop project first. It’s as addicting as Follow Your Own Path!

Ah, the squirrels have hit!!! I’m resisting (for the moment) but your quilt is so darn cute! I might not be able to resist for long. Oh, but I’m trying to resist!!!

Thanks Gail. It’s totally addicting this pattern. I admire your resistance. I had none really but did finish my scrappy top first 😉I do have another fabric pull in mind but have to do another hop project first 😅

Well, if you must have a squirrel attack, at least it was a one day finish! This quilt is just stunning. The size is perfect for donating to our community pregnancy center. I’ll be considering acquiring the pattern. Thanks for the share!

Isn’t it a beauty? I loved how easy it was to make and cutting it was so quick(even with the distractions). I love Sandra’s patterns for the clear instructions. That’s great that it would work for your Pregnancy Center. It’s on sale still I think 😉
