Weekly To-Do and Goals

My Weekly Goals – To Do Tuesday #64

Chris at Chris Knits is now hosting the weekly To-Do linky party and it’s always fun to go see what everyone has done and are planning To-Do.

Last week’s list:

1. Assemble my scrappy batik blocks to a flimsy. Done

2. Keep working on a leader/ender project with my 2 1/2” scrappy squares. No progress

3. Work on RSC blocks. No progress

4. Finalize my test blocks and pattern for the Seaside Adventure Row Along. Done

5. Play with the longarm and finish a UFO or two. 😉. Done

6. Keep avoiding those squirrels. 😉🐿🐿

This week’s goals:

1. Decide border fabrics for my scrappy batik quilt

2. Keep working on a leader/ender project with my 2 1/2” scrappy squares.

3. Work on RSC blocks.

4. Play with the longarm and finish a UFO or two. 😉

5. Get the bindings done on at least one of my quilted tops.

6. Keep avoiding those squirrels. 😉🐿🐿

Stitchin’ Time

I’m trying for at least 15 minutes a day, but also want to at least spend 15 minutes tidying up and dealing with scraps.

  • Previous time – 173/185
  • This 2 week period– 7/7
  • Year To Date – 180/192

Stash Report:

  • Fabric previous balance: 63 yards
  • Fabric Used: 12 yards
  • Fabric Bought: 0 yards
  • Balance in stash: 51 Yards

* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards. 😅

* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash

Gail at Quilting Gail created and hosts the PHD in 2021 to keep us finishing those UFOS.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Hi Carol! It must have finally cooled off enough to be able to enjoy your longarm. Woohoo! The heat came this way – I’m not complaining at all because you guys had it so much worse. Plus, it is supposed to be long gone by tomorrow and they promise a full day of rain. We’ll see if that happens but my fingers are crossed. Great job on your list! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Hi Roseanne. I’m happy you are enjoying the heat. It did get to only 45 C so the longarm was put to work (the studio is in the basement). I had fun and did get some work done which I’ll write about this week since I am home. It was only 27 C when I travelled home yesterday but will be back up to 38c today. The list had some progress so we will see how this week goes

  2. Great job on getting things done. Good luck with this week! I love your tidying/sewing tally at the bottom of your lists. It is a good thing to do isn’t it? I have so many scraps that I am cutting up. Right now I am keeping a bag of scraps to see what the waste looks like from that and all other trimmings. It will wind up as a dog/cat pillow!

  3. A good week on the stitching front, lots off the to do list. I really like your black, gray and purple UFO. Hope this week has been as productive.
