How Did My Week Go?

My Weekly Goals – To Do Tuesday #62

Chris at Chris Knits is now hosting the weekly To-Do linky party and it’s always fun to go see what everyone has done and are planning To-Do.

Last week’s list:

1. Assemble my blocks to a flimsy. Almost halfway finished trimming the blocks. 😉

2. Keep working on a leader/ender project with my 2 1/2” scrappy squares. Some progress on an ongoing project. 😉

3. Finish my pattern test for TQPM. Finished! Now I just need to wait until the fall to be able to reveal this cutie!

4. Work on RSC blocks; purple this month. No progress; I was attacked by a squirrel 😉.

5. Finish writing my pattern for the Seaside Adventure Row Along. It’s coming along!

6. Keep working to avoid the squirrels. 🐿🐿. Epic Fail. Sandra at MMM Quilts shared a post with the sweetest gingham quilt and a heart touching back story (click on her website to be taken to the post. I’ve now made 2 and am addicted. I think it might need to be another RSC project. 😅 My blog post can be found here.

This week’s goals:

1. Assemble my scrappy batik blocks to a flimsy.

2. Keep working on a leader/ender project with my 2 1/2” scrappy squares.

3. Work on RSC blocks; purple this month.

4. Finish writing my pattern for the Seaside Adventure Row Along.

5. Hopefully get away to finish some quilts on my longarm 😉

6. Be more diligent at avoiding squirrels. 🐿🐿

Stitchin’ Time

I’m trying for at least 15 minutes a day, but also want to at least spend 15 minutes tidying up and dealing with scraps.

  • Previous time – 159/171
  • This 2 week period– 7/7
  • Year To Date – 166/178

Stash Report:

  • Fabric previous balance: 65 yards
  • Fabric Used: 2 yards
  • Fabric Bought: 0 yards
  • Balance in stash: 63 Yards

* my goal is to lessen my stash by 100 yards. 😅

* any fabric used from the scrap bins, was gifted or a prize; doesn’t count as stash

Gail at Quilting Gail created and hosts the PHD in 2021 to keep us finishing those UFOS.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Hi Carol! Great job and those gingham quilts are over the top good. Great idea to make one with the RSC challenge colors. Gosh, you are giving me ideas a plenty. And ones that I don’t need to be thinking about so strongly right now. But you know I am . . . they are so cute! ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. Those gingham quilts are cute and fun. Hard to avoid a squirrel with those attributes. Hope this week has been full of stitching and fun.
