I Love Thursday #35

Most Thursdays I try to join a group of friends on LeeAnna’s blog, Not Afraid of Color who all share posts about the joys in their life.

I love sitting in my comfy chair spending my time like this:

Hand sewing my binding means I’m almost finished another project.

My second finish on a long arm

This one is for a good friend who will be released from hospital tomorrow after a prolonged stay with Covid. I am so happy that he is to be released and thankful for all of the prayers and well wishes that were sent to a sweet, wonderful man.

This past week has me not enjoying a cup of coffee as much as usual. Instead I have been turning to a good London Fog. In my opinion there is nothing better than a cup of good Earl Grey tea with some steamed milk and vanilla syrup. Life’s simple pleasures such as a good cup of tea can bring so much joy in to our lives.

One of my favourite pastimes is reading. In March there is an event called Canada Reads which showcases Canadian authors.

The 2021 list of contenders.

I’m on a waiting list for each of the books at my local library (both on line and actual books). It’s inspiring to see how many more people are reading these days. I do love being able to sign out books on line.

This week I have a new batch of photos to share of my greatest loves, my sweet youngest great granddaughters;

My header photo is my youngest grandson. I love the faces he makes and the funny things he says. 😉

Thanks for stopping by to see some of the things that bring me joy. Another great source of happiness is YOU! I appreciate your spending your time with me and love reading your comments.

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. So good to hear that your friend is being released from the hospital; I hope he continues to make good progress to full recovery. Those little kiddos are so darling – how fun to have those photos for you to enjoy!

    1. Hi Wendy. It was so good to get the call that he’s coming home. His daughter has been in to get his house clean and tidy. Now I just need to finish his quilt and get it over tonight. My littles are pretty cute I think 😁. Thank you 😊

  2. What a face! The quilt is beautiful – and yay for the friend getting out of hospital. I hope he continues to recover. Hand binding is always nice – but yes, the fact you’re almost done! Cute kids. 🙂
