On Thursday a group of quilty friends get together on LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color to share gratitude posts filled with their Likes/loves. It’s always fun to visit and see what everyone is sharing.
This past week we had a couple of bright, beautiful days with warmer temperatures. Here in Canada our groundhogs decided that spring will be arriving sooner rather than later.

It’s snowing again, but I will admit to being happy to see it. Our snowpack is fairly low so anything that adds to it is so very welcome.
I’m happy to say that I did enjoy having a few days with my new toy. I even had a good chuckle over losing my first game of bobbin chicken.

I love getting a new batch of sweet, sisterly love photos. Poor Daddy is exhausted with working part time, going to school full time and trying to spend time with his little girls.
I was really happy to get a phone call this morning informing me that our friend who is in hospital with Covid-19 has had a slight improvement in his condition. I’m still working on his quilt and hope to be nearer a finish this weekend.
We have had 2 town trips this week (so far) for DH to have treatments and more tests. I’m satisfied that his doctors are working together to see if they can sort out what is going on with him. I’m hoping that we can stay home until next week now. I’m really enjoying spending time with my sewing machine.
My list this week is short since I have been trying to play catch-up with emails and reading my favourite blogs. I like seeing what everyone is doing and really enjoy the many email conversations I get to have with our on line community. It’s so wonderful to have sew many friends in all corners of the world and sharing our life experiences.
The good thing about our online community is the moral support we share. The downside is the squirrels that keep visiting with the emails and blog reading. 🐿
I’m heading over to LeeAnna’s blog Not Afraid of Color to see what our quilty friends are sharing today. Thank you for spending some of your time reading my post. 😊 Carol
Look at those pretty blue skies! We haven’t had one of those in a long time. We have had some snow today, and our temps are dropping, so it’s a good day to stay in. Glad to hear there’s some improvement for your friend; I hope it continues. I also hope your hubby gets some answers, too. Those sweet little girls – how precious!

Hi Wendy. Isn’t that blue sky so cheerful? We have had 2 days of it this week. Perfect for Groundhog Day 😉. Improvements and answers are a blessing as are our girls. 😊

Hi Gail. We have snow today instead of rain or blue skies. My grandson’s partner keeps me well supplied with daily or weekly photos of the girls so it’s fun sharing the cuteness!

Hi Carol! Look at that blue sky! Beautiful. It won’t be long and Ruby won’t put up with Clarke doing anything untoward. I suspect they will be SO close and just the best of friends. Won’t it be fun when you actually get to hold and kiss them to pieces?! Yay to being able to spend some time at home, with the sewing machine. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Roseanne. I’m so glad you posted to remind me of my great granddaughter’s names 😉. The wee one is Grace. I had just been talking to my granddaughter Ruby (5) when I was writing my post. I fixed it and yes, I am looking forward to holding and snuggling these girls some day 😉

That’s SO funny! I typed Grace . . . and then I thought, no . . . and scrolled up and replaced it with Ruby. Oops! {{Hugs}}

That is what I loved about Michigan. Snow, but the beautiful blue skies later on. The past couple of years, not much snow, and lots of gray days. But when there is a blue sky day it is worth celebrating. What cuties….poor daddy, I am sure he is worn out. Glad you are enjoying your new machine. I agree there is nothing better than stay at home days. Great likes.

Thank you Colette. I also remember beautiful blue skies when vacationing in Michigan. We’ve had more than normal rainy grey days this winter so I enjoy the clear skies or snowy days when they happen. My grandson is such a good daddy. I’m very proud of him 😉

Bah – I think bobbins always run out at the worst possible time. lol. But what a fun new toy!

Hi Sally. I’m sure it’s a rule that bobbins are always short of thread; at least in my experience 😉

Totally get what you mean about the up side and down side of our QBL (Quilting Blogland). Glad to see you quilting up a storm on your new Avanté, despite losing the bobbin chicken game. Little people pics and blue skies are always welcome.

Hi Sandra. Bobbin chicken is an interesting adventure. Just listening to Dr Bonnie Henry now to check on our progress. Littles and blue skies sure do make me smile.
