I decided that since I am trying to clean out my scrap bin I would play a little and use up the orphan blocks I found in the bin as well as some scraps for the RSC.
First up was to make an iPad holder using some leftover blocks;
My next bit of fun came about because I am making a concerted effort to finish emptying my scrap bin. I found a baggie and some bits of pink fabric. I was going to cut them up in to my usual various sizes of squares and put them in my scrap savers system (clean unused pizza boxes), but decided instead to play. I was able to finish pinwheels, wonky churn dashes and courthouse steps and fun crumb blocks all 4 1/2” square; 9 total blocks.

I’m so pleased you stopped by to read my post. What are you managing to do on this cold, dreary day? 😉 Carol

Thank you Susan. I needed fabric therapy; world news and 3 football games 😉

Playing with fabric is so much fun. And you ended up with great crumb blocks in the process.

Even though we may have yards and yards of fabric, using up scraps can be so much more gratifying! Good job! Me? It’s really cold here so I’ve been snuggling next to the fire reading. Maybe I’ll sew tomorrow.

Snuggling by the fire sounds like a perfect way to spend the day. I’ve been curling up with a blanket in the evening knitting during this cold spell. The fire is missing here 😉

What fun projects – I love those pink crumb blocks! I’ve been nose-to-needle, working on my Round Robin quilt.

Your scrappy projects are sew pretty! It always feels good to see scraps used up. I can see why the IPad holder found quick use. I keep meaning to make a couple of those. It is sew much fun to use up those scraps. Obviously I loved the fabric in the orphan blocks so it really made me happy but now DH wants an IPad holder that’s not pink 😁
