Blooming Time

This is another pattern that I tested for The Quilt Pattern Magazine. The pattern is written by Barbara Chojnacki. It finishes at 58 1/2” x 70 1/2”. The instructions are well written, includes great diagrams and are very complete. It is scheduled for publication in the September issue of the ezine.

The final fabric pull from the stash.

I think I cut the fabric on Monday, sewed the 320 hst’s on Tuesday, pressed the seams open on Wednesday and trimmed them to square on Thursday.

Ready for trimming.
Only 140 more to go!
Hst’s trimmed and ready to assemble!

Then the fun began. Piecing the units and assembling the blocks.

Soon enough rows were being made and then assembled in to a quilt top.

It’s not a very good photo, but the rain is preventing outdoor pictures. I’ll try again when the sunshine returns!

The border fabric inspired the fabric pull for this quilt.

This pattern is available in the September issue of The Quilt Pattern Magazine. I highly recommend it to anyone that would like to do a fast, unusual quilt. It’s very well written and the instructions are so easy to follow.

Next time I make it I think I will add more blocks to enlarge this quilt.

Thanks for stopping by to read my post. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
