Autumn Entwined

April 6, 2020 I finished piecing the top I was pattern testing for The Quilt Pattern Magazine.

The Pattern was Autumn Entwined by RaeLyn Boothe. Finished size is 64.5” x 64.5”. It was a wonderful pattern, well written and easy to follow. It will be published in the August issue of The Quilt Pattern Magazine.

This was my fabric pull from the stash

The only problem I had was trying to concentrate and focus during the start of the Covid 19 pandemic crisis

The blocks were being built

And finally after it snowed last night the sun started to shine and as I finished I realized I could go out for a photo shoot! The first sunny skies shoot of 2020. It was such a great moral booster!

Dropped on the bench to just enjoy the sunshine!

And here it is;

The grass is starting to green up!

And I even got a bonus;

More hst’s to play with

Thank you for reading my post. Do check out The Quilt Pattern Magazine for some great patterns, fun quilt alongs and inspiring articles. 😄 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

    1. Thank you Susan. When I was digging in my stash to do the test at the beginning of the Covid shutdown pickings were a bit slim. I was really pleased when I was able to put them together and to me it worked. I’m even happier now that I can actually see the colours and I still like it 😉

    1. Thanks but No Snow Gail! That photo was taken when I finished the test in March or April? LOL The pattern is being released in August issue of The Quilt Pattern Magazine so I finally get to show it off. That border print was just big enough for the quilt and was the palette I pulled from to do the quilt. It’s actually been hot enough this week to have weather warnings for high heat out. I love my covered patio now. 😉

  1. Hi Carol! Lovely fabrics and wonderful quilt top. I really like the one block that doesn’t have a star in the center – although I LOVE stars so I amend this to saying I love both blocks. Very different looking in a great way. And the basket of leftover HSTs . . . how fun is that?! Really nice finish. ~smile~ Roseanne
