One of my last projects in my need to get organized this year is my stash. I am still on my self imposed fabric diet so I am only allowing myself to purchase fabric for a specific project or some much needed neutrals for backgrounds. I am starting the year with 200 yards in the stash would like to reduce it to just 50 yards due to our space constraints.
My other plan is to spend at least 15 minutes a day minimum working with fabric.
I saw this cute logo on Desert Sky Quilting and had to share!

Simple goals; easily met. Right?!?
Have a great weekend and I do hope you are playing with fabric or doing something fun! I’m teaching on Saturday so life is good for me!

It sounds easy, just 15 minutes a day playing with fabric, but life sometimes throws roadblocks in the way!! Hope you had a fabulous day teaching today!!

It was a great day. Helped one of my new quilters with flying geese. She likes them as much as I do 😉. The 15 minutes is such a great idea! So far if I can manage 15 minutes I can usually get more in than that

Just don’t have life interfere like it did with Susan or the nasty bug that put me basically in bed since Tuesday evening!!! Go glad you found another flying geese lover!!!

Susan are you starting to feel a bit better?

A bit better – body stopped aching so badly and nose stopped running. Still have the headache and cough – my diaphragm is sore from coughing, but my lungs are clear! Zero energy is the hardest part!

I’m sorry. That still sounds nasty, painful and very frustrating.

That’s an ambitious goal to go from 200 to 50 yards in the stash, but oh it would be fun to have that much time to sew and be able to finish projects that quickly. Hope the 15 minutes challenge helps you make progress on whatever goals you have on the fabric/stitching front.

Thanks Kate. I’m a full time caregiver. My DH has MS so I get to spend lots of time with my fabric. I like to test patterns so get plenty of opportunity to try new and wonderful designs. Life is pretty good and I think I should be able to reduce my stash. Having a goal to sew at least 15 minutes a day will stop me from just sitting. 😉

Yay! Welcome! And now I had a week with no sewing at all because of my son’s fall, but I hope to be back on the horse this coming week. There’s no place to go but up. LOL

Your son is doing better I hope. I’m doing nothing today. The drastic change from rainy, melting warm to the deep freeze brought on a migraine. Maybe this evening while the game is my head will ease enough to will allow for some quilting time

He is improving, still a lot of pain in his leg, but that’s to be expected with the break and surgery. He’ll be home next Thursday, and his cats can hardly wait! I hope the headaches haven’t been too bad as we’ve gone back and forth this last week. We are about to drown here in east TN, and today’s sunshine was so welcome … but will go back to constant pouring rain tomorrow. I’m glad it isn’t snow!

That’s good he will be home. I know I recover better when I can sleep in my bed and have my sewing machines nearby so I hope being home will recover sooner. Headaches are gone other than the ones from wonky vision after cataract surgery. We have been having strange winter weather here in B.C. rain for a couple of days then snow for a few back and forth. It’s been terrible ;the weather in America this winter from what I’ve seen in the news.
