I’m not quite sure where the month went, but it’s over!
I did have some success this month with some sweet finishes.
First was a pattern for The Quilt Pattern Magazine. It turned out beautifully and here’s a peak at the fabrics.

This will be shown in the spring. By then I might have it quilted and bound!
Next finish was my quilt for the Winter Blues Hop. I finished the flimsy completely from my scrap bin 😊. You can read my post on Glacier Ice and here it is:

I also finished a notebook cover for this year:

Then I did a bag to store my Appliquick tools in.

My next finish was my Mosaic Mystery. I decided to not add more borders. I think the black makes the other colours pop. It’s on my To Be Quilted pile. Maybe next month?

Next up was another pattern test for the Quilt Pattern Magazine which will be a spring reveal. Again I can show off some preview peeks:

One last test this month was for Becca at Pretty Piney Quilts. I love her patterns. They are very clearly written and easy to follow. I made a sweet crib quilt for a friend who needed a quilt for her soon to be born grandson. I’m looking forward to showing it off. It should be quilted by the time it is published! 🤞🏻

In between testing, doing a project for a blog hop, and catching up on a BOM I did 6 blocks to go to Australia for charity quilts for the wildfire victims.

All in all, I can say it was a productive month! I managed to meet all of my OMG for January 2020 and did a few bonuses as well!
This is what’s under the needle now:

It’s almost half done now. I’ll keep working on it. The design is figured out. I’ve done stitch in the ditch around the stars and crosses to stabilize it. My shoulder only works for short stints at quilting, but it’s coming along!
Once it is finished I need to do the crib quilt. I think February will be a month to quilt some of these tops. I’m running out of room on that shelf in my storage cupboard. 😊
What are you working on? Spending some time fondling fabric or doing some hand stitching?
Thanks for stopping in.
😄 Carol
Watching you play with fabric is as close as I’ve gotten since Tuesday evening…a cold or flu (not sure which, but brutal) destroyed my ability to do much of anything. It’s all I can do to get my dad 3 meals a day.

Oh No! I do hope you feel better soon. It’s hard to look after someone when you’re feeling rough.
As my DH says, drink lots of fluids, rest lots, take aspirin and wine doesn’t count as fluids. Does a hot toddy?
I’ve been fighting off a cold due to our weather. Rainy one day, snow the next or both! I have to shake it. Surgery on Tuesday. Just cataracts. I’m looking forward to being able to see again.
Sure wish there was someone there to take care of you. 💐

15 minutes for the surgery. A friend was driving the next day when she had hers done. 7:30 am so staff will be fresh and the oR will be sterile. Can’t get any better than that. 😉. Thank you for the prayers. Sending some for your speedy recovery as well. 3 days is more than enough
