Work on Wednesday

Another finish for the month! A sweet pattern test for Becca at Pretty Piney Quilts I did a crib size quilt which finishes at 36” x 45”. If you enjoy doing flying geese this is a wonderful pattern. The way Becca wrote it, you change the finished size of the blocks to make a larger quilt. In this case, I elected to do the crib size since a friend needs a baby quilt for a grandson that is due in a couple of months.

Doing geese 4 at a time works so well!

The fabric pull was easy since Gramma had told me the nursery has teal accents in a log home.

Such a fun block to make!

The finish isn’t going to be available until the quilt is published, but I am in love with it. I just sandwiched it and will try to get it done this week after I finish quilting Becca’s Star Crossed Plaid which I made for my great granddaughter, Clarke.

I am also working on my tree blocks for Australia. I have 5 finished and am going to try to get a few more finishes before the parcel goes in the mail.

Another tree done!

All of my lists and day timer notes are up to date and next week and next months goals are organized. I’m scaring myself by staying organized this well. I have been spending my 15 -30 minutes at the end of the day tidying up and just need to cut my leftover fabrics into my scrap users system. I’ll do that tonight.

I’m caught up on all of my testing commitments so I am going to concentrate on those UFO’s and To Be Quilted piles (at least until the next squirrel runs by or email comes in with a request for a tester!)

I’m enjoying this rainy, grey day by playing with pretty, bright fabrics and hope you are as well whatever weather you are enduring or enjoying!

Thanks for stopping by. 😁 Carol

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

  1. Such good work on meeting your goals! I know it can be scary when you actually stay organized but it’s also fun too! Enjoy it. Thanks for linking up to Wednesday Wait Loss.
