Mosaic Mystery Update

This morning we had to go to Nelson for DH’s doctor’s appointments. Normally a 50 minute drive. We have severe storm warnings out so it took me an hour and a half to get there.

After the appointment we stopped for prescriptions and groceries.

The trip home took me just over 1 3/4 hours. It was blowing and snowing. The roads were slick. They weren’t kidding when they issued the storm warnings.

When I got home it was like this:

Pretending the car is a plough; pushing snow!

That meant I wasn’t able to get daylight, outdoor pictures of my flimsy.

Next best thing was the kitchen floor

Deciding on more borders still

Now to decide on borders. I have just enough floral for a finished one inch border and enough gold for a finished two inch and enough for a 3 1/2” blue border.

I have decided to leave it as is and will be quilting it once I finish two urgent quilts! I think the black border lets the pattern shine

I have been fondling fabric and creating things with fabric and fiber for as long as I can remember. My children had homemade clothes, blankets, canning and quilts most of their lives. Now I create goodies to share! Hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy making them! When I am not creating with fiber or fabric I keep busy with Dear Heart, kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

    1. Thank you Roseanne. The blue was the just right pop I think. That was the worst travel conditions I have experience since I left the north country! Good luck when it hits you. 😁 Carol

  2. Wow, you did have a storm!! Glad you were able to get home safely. You are obviously one of the smart ones who slows down when the street are slick!! I like the idea of the three borders – miter the corners for that extra oomph – and bind with the black!! Beautiful quilt!
